Now that there’s no BR4 semi-auto rifle for the US tree, I propose throwing the Thompson Autorifle. Sure, it wasn’t a good gun and was primarily a trials weapon, but that hasn’t stopped a lot of guns in this game from being added. As an added bonus, there’s even a machine gun variant you could throw onto the BR2/3 US machine gunner tree.
It also had a 5 round mag as well as a 7.62x54R variant with a 20 round magazine so you could probably add more for events or BP weapons.

I’m really pleased the Johnson was finally moved to BR III where it belongs.
BR IV is a weird BR that I question the existence of because those weapons will either force a BR II/III lineup against BR OP weapons.

While competent are rather redundant at BR V. Eg Why use the Johnson at BR V when you have the T20?
A 20 round option of this Thompson Autorifle could be a good BR IV rifle however.
It would be best if DF could fill BR IV properly for all tech trees and then lock all BRs to just that BR.
Otherwise I think just have separate BR I
BR II-III
and then separate BR V.
Sort of like a Beginner, Intermediate and Expert level.
