Sound like you mean MG 42 early squad.

I also have the MG 39 squad, but use neither since I don’t really use MG’s in level four or five, but I would if I could change the weapons and use them at level two or three.

Whatever 4 smg and 2 rifle or 5 smg with 1 rifle, all the other gold squads are 6 members,

again 4 smg and 2 rifle is fine 5smg and 1 rifle is clear power creep, if you want 6 members thats fine its not fine to be bumping up the power that much
