that’s how they do their other games, same recipe, same result
and with the br merge update, it will all fall into place
disgusting

Just tested this again…
I deliberately just ran straight at the enemy out in the open firing randomly in the air to draw attention so I could get shot as often as possible…
Fuck me - I made 2x the xp I normally do when actually trying to survive & get as many kills as possible !
This system is bloody well EVIL !
What kind of game deliberately rewards suiciding into the enemy as often as possible ???
I’m not sure I can care about this game anymore with such a warped scoring system in place which rewards bad gameplay. Thankfully Arma 3 are just about to release a WW2 DLC - around the same time Enlisted changes to the new BR system which seems deliberately designed to drive away all the original players who spent tons of money on Premium content etc. in favour of casual gamers who prefer arcade gameplay with no historical accuracy.
This is just so fucking depressing - what a bunch of weird exploitative people we have developing this ‘game’.
This game is gonna die it’ll be a miracle that we can even survive on steam
@EdVanSchleck Do you know if they changed something recently (in the past few weeks) on this topic?
No, nothing has changed.
The time spent in battle has the greatest influence on the experience gained. Look at the two screenshots you have 22k and 23k points. In one you were 24 minutes and probably shot down a lot of planes that give little experience. And in the second one you spent 49 minutes and you have more points. With premium you would get +50% times the win multiplier.
it is not only time… number of deaths/vehicle also counts. look at last ss. 23 minutes, 3.5k score and i got 5.2k base xp. first ss i played 24 minutes, had 1 death and was in plane got 7.6k score. only got around 50% more base xp for getting 6.5 times score.
simply more effective you are with one squad more nerfed you get.
btw this is what happens with no deaths and 1 soldier getting 5.2k score. other soldier got 7 kills so overall i had ~5.5k score. base xp 3.9k for 149 kills + engineering points+ defense. it is true that it is only 65% of time but difference in score is 60%.
Different activities give different levels of exp. Pure kills in the field yield less than point kills and so on. But the battle experience is growing all the time. It doesn’t matter how many times you die, but the unit gets more personal exp the longer it participates in combat.
like i said these are all theories that were circulated on forum. idk which is true without someone reverse engineering formula
you can see from some screenshots e.g. individual scores for tank brigade. when i am over 2.3k score i get 2.1k base xp for 41 minutes of gameplay. when i suck get only 150 score i get 305 base xp for 23 minutes of gameplay. game clearly has some boosting mechanism for people who suck and some nerfing mechanism for people who perform good. this is same squad performing same thing, so it is apples to apples comparison.
dont look at bonuses. it ultimately tells you nothing. base xp is best for comparison.
and both of your games are similar. similar score, similar deaths, similar time and similar xp.
i have an idea on how to prove formula with concrete evidence (if it works). will try tomorrow.
That’s me and the other guy lmao
