When your at this point, you need incentive to continue playing and not desert because I’m sorry, penalties are not going to keep a lot of people in the game.

I’ve played three games tonight, won one lost two and none of the three the losing team even sniffed the first cap point. I’m gonna get my 20k points and call it quits for the night. I split with my level one Allies and lost with my level two Soviets.

Yeah, nothing like a humiliating royal butt kicking topped off by seeing the enemy adding to their numbers. 
I went back to playing level two Germans and won the two I played, and on cue they have both been one sided butt kicking’s, fortunately I was on the good side this time. I’m at 11,450 of my 20k points, so probably three more games.
I’m all for incentives, flying can only do so much and isn’t enjoyed by everyone…
It’s perhaps not mathematically advantageous to desert mid match due to lost reward % (rewards players had to endure for) but some matches are just so unbalanced I understand why some would quit.
Also, since most are playing tanker instead of pilot, and only have one vehicle slot… Flying to relax for the remainder of the match is out of the question for them…
(Now that I think about it, flying sounds like a snob privileged hobby, ohohoh)
To punish ppl ALREADY being punished by something unpleasant is just doubling down on a problem. Won’t fix any issues nor make players keep playing…

Sometimes in that map, when we defend and the enemy is completely powerless… When they’re running out of tickets and expect the sweet release of the match’s ending…

I deserted shortly after I took the last picture. Seeing that the enemy was taking the final cap point and were at 1013 I figured I wasn’t doing anything to stop them anyway. I actually played good, but had no help and tanks kept killing off my squads blasting cap points, so I jumped in my plane for as long as I could, and did get one of the tanks.
Cause you are a coward who has no honor and does not care about king and country!!!

If you are losing so bad you should naturally feel incentivized to FIGHT HARDER.
How does your brain even come up with the idea “Oh we are losing? Better quit then!” No drive. No motivation. No fight. WEAK AND IDLE TROOPS would never make it past boot camp.
If you are down to the last point that is where you should be throwing everything at the enemy. Flame units, molotovs, HE tank spam, strafing with the 20mm or 30mm planes, throw every grenade, empty every machine gun, build barbed wire and hedgehogs around every door, mine everything, call in artillery strike on your own position, broken arrow broken arrow broken arrow.

The chance that you can burn 1000 tickets from the enemy team when you only have 1 objective left to defend is very very slim. Its not impossible, as I have played matches in which my team was unable to cap the final objective despite the fact that we had 900 tickets left for it, but still the chance is very low.

So, basically you should play like 10 different roles at the same time., especially the part where you sit in a vehicle while defending the objective like a guard hound.

Apparently I wasn’t trying hard enough if trying harder is the answer. Personally, anyone at that point that thinks trying harder is going to make a difference when the enemy has grown in strength to 1,013 and is starting to take the last control point is drinking to much Koolaid.
