I disagree with there being any actual BR2 powercreep.
The guns they moved down were the M1A1 Thompson. 6.8, 265m/s, 600 rpm, 86 deviation, 2.6reload, 40/15, 30 rounds.
Compare to the old T2 guns
Owen, 5.7, 400m/s, 700rpm, 85 deviation, 2.7 reload, 31/17, 33 rounds
Lanchester, 5.7, 400m/s, 600rpm, 84 deviation, 2.6 reload, 34/12, 32 roads
M3A1, 6.8, 265m/s, 410rpm, 61 deviation, 2.7 reload, 27/13, 30 rounds
And the other option at T3
M1928A1, 6.8, 265m/s, 700 rpm, 84 deviation, 1.7reload, 36/15, 30 rounds.
The M1A1 fits with the first list. It’s comparable to the Lanchester as an all-round SMG with the M3A1 outperforming at range and the Owen doing better close up. The M1928A1 is just plain better than all the others. It is a genuine T3.
For the Axis we got the M38/42 downtiered. It’s similar to the MP40 with a very small increase in RPM, slightly worse shot dispersion, a larger magazine but lacks the MP40’s exceptional recoil control. If you want a close range bullet hose there’s the M1918. Which one you field is kinda personal preference.
But if you compare it to the ZK-383 its worse in every way apart from the mag size. Same with the MP35/I. It was probably only in t3 to begin with because it’s marginally better than the M1 Beretta.

Pretty much all those guns you listed, were orginally BR 3 or higher when merge dropped

That’s litteraly what I said earlier :
And yet this was only ever done for… the bikes. So sure they can, but as of now we still have Br2 weapons in the Tier 4 of the research tree. And we had stuff like MP-40 and Lee-enfields at Br2 and tier 3 for well over a year now. I hope they will “re shuffle” the TT, but I’m still waiting for any meaningfull changes.

That’s very bad theory, as there would no reason to put Pz III N higher.
That’s the keyword. It’s just my take on trying to understand the puzzling decisions of the devs. I didn’t say it’s the be all or end all, or that I leaked secret documents from Gaijin themselves. And everyone’s free to disagree with my idea.
I think you may have come to that conclusion yourself - before you made your theory public.
I just commented on what I think about this theory of yours.
But I made tons of BS theories as well, I was on your place before.

The only one that I listed in T2 that was in the original BR3 lineup was the MP40.
There was never any reason to bring it to BR3. They were supposed to worse smgs but better tanks, right now they have worse smgs and worse tanks with zero cons of playing as Germany as they are now the weakest faction in a game

The IVE is now the best tank at T2. It’s just not quite as strong as the IIIN.
It’s better than the Crusader, Grant, Scott, T50 or the T28E.
It’s not power creep, it’s expanding the lowest BR and giving them more options to fight BR 2. BR 1 already lacks variety and would benefit from MGs .
