Not a bad idea either.
I also considered the possibility of going the more sombre route for all countries, or at least something calmer than most military music. You know, a break from the chaotic fighting that normally makes up the game, a quiet time to reflect and prepare for the next battle, I’m thinking:

Sadly, don’t havy suggestions for Japan (did consider Yuki no Shingun, but despite the horrifying lyrics it’s odly upbeat so I don’t think it fits), Soviets or Italy, but I’m sure they’ve got their own versions of a funeral march, soldier songs or similar that could work.

They should give us multiple music options in the setting for each nation
Well specially for Axis and Allies since there is a lot of nations but for Japan and USSR also.
