The MG42 100 should be an event weapon

I feel like it’s going to be a balance problem that the new “MG42 100” is being added to the research tree. The stinger was a limited event weapon, Germany doesn’t need potentially unlimited OP machine guns to counter them…

What?

MG42 100 is nowhere near comparable to Stinger. There’s quite significant difference between 100 and 200 rounds per one reload.

MGs are still support weapons, and nowhere as important or powerful as assault rifles or select fire rifles.

Also doesn’t 30 cal already have 100 round belt?

Dispersion is gonne be the most important stat for that new MG42, and I bet its gonna be trash

Stinger should finally get a 100 round belt instead of 200 - because the box in the real world can only fit 100 rounds.

You know now that German got this I agree with this, it was fun with 200 but now it time to correct this and get those German main to calm their ball down

Also no literally every faction have 100 round mg (jap have 2 barrel that why it said 50) so German deserve their long awaited mg

why should it be an event weapon? :thinking: russians (RD-44 and Tokarev) and americans (M1919A6) have them in the TechTree + americans have Stinger and now also T24 machine gun with 100 rounds.

So it’s okay for germans to have same in TechTree, however and tbh with you: I could live with the fact that if they wouldn’t have. However and because a lot of players (even of the best) asked for that, DF decided to do so. So relax even with that 100 rounds magazine on german side, you will still get plenty of kills with russians and americans. :wink:

So do you think it’s fair that most people only have 1-2 stingers for the USA, and now Germany is getting basically unlimited 100rnd MGs? Sounds like a really fair argument/opinion to me…
