Remember this? I did some research on it today.

Photos of the Hino-Komuro rifle currently circulating on the Internet look like they were taken in the 1990s or 2000s. The background of the photo looks like it’s in someone’s home, not warehouse or museum.

The rifle in photos looks pretty crude, and there are only two photos. No old black-and-white photos, which is very unusual for a 100+ year old rifl…
But it looks like it was silently locked even without a warning.
Does that mean DF acknowledge this BP’s “Hino rifle (BR III, Japan)” weapon is fictional?
Not trying to start another comments war about fake guns in Enlisted, just want to know whether I should use it myself or not?
Is this a real gun?
Was it used by Japan in WW2?

Yes it is , though the depiction in game is not based on the real rifle but on a somewhat similar rifle that some enthusiasts made.
Most likely No

The only thing that can be confirmed is that such a gun once existed. However, since there are no physical specimens or blueprints left behind, its appearance can never be accurately represented. This is not the first time that something false has appeared in Enlisted.

Well by this logic why not introduce this gun?
Surely it’s fun?

Hino Komuro is an excellent weapon, btw.
Not doubting stats are good
Just wondering if it actually existed

Yes. Most likely this weapon never existed.
Unfortunate.
Just unlocked 3 of them.
But don’t want to use a gun made up by DF.
And as always the Devs/helpers/CMs stay silent…
