Iā€™m not trying to squeeze into the discussion at hand, but donā€™t sleep on the 188. Itā€™s got speed, combat flaps, and if you donā€™t ā€œblow your whole loadā€ on the first pass, you can do some decent tactical bombing. Iā€™ve scored at least two maneuver kills (against P-38s) taking the 188 down low and fast and luring novice pilots into turning fights at treetop level.

In fact, Iā€™ve enjoyed the 188 so much Iā€™ve considered firing up the Sb-2m in Moscowā€¦

Wont help against 1x P-47 and 1x P-38 in the air.

That take damage whenever you drop bombs, no matter if you are flying above the trees with 1m distance to them or drop from 300m above ground.

Its also about the only way you can fly it, the higher you drop the bombs, the more damage you take on yourself somehow lol. But I did fairly well in it before the nerf, doing 300-500 kills rounds back then. Now, its just such pain compared to pre-nerf, because againā€¦ you can basically Suicide bomb only since returning to ammo spot will get you killed in 80% of the cases. Depending on enemy though - yes - a variable that most here dont consider - like Norse Knight.
