The end is nigh, repent repent

Ah, changing your PFP for Christmas, nice

That’s the worst part, since everyone keeps telling HA people “go to customs” but they haven’t posted any news or updates regarding making customs viable and fun.

This update will probably ruin the game for a lot of people: The people who don’t really like WT are now getting WT 2.0, the people who liked the player choice in which maps and settings they get to play in will have to gamble to get those maps again, all the people who bought premiums for certain campaigns are getting the majority of them butchered due to the BR system, and lastly the people who enjoyed what historical immersion we had, that was continuously strayed from until it will be killed with this update.

Customs need to have persistent servers (official or community owned) and allow gain for XP, for BP tasks, for any ongoing event, for achievements, for weekly tasks, etc. I shouldn’t be penalized for trying to play the game how I want, in which I was previously allowed to do so and invested money to do so for 3 years.

I don’t think it’s extreme to desire what is still literally said to be the case in advertisements for the game. As seen in ads on YouTube, and through the description on the game’s website.

So far I have not seen one single thing about the coming changes that I like.

well, it’s kinda an endless circle

people often " wasted " time trying to change the base game when all the answers has always been in customs and mods.

not a single one beside me and very, very few others spoke about improving customs etc.

which they all share one thing.
overshadow and not very liked.

because people don’t care.

so… they can’t really complain about the outcome.

Eh, dunno about that.

well, you can’t really allow xps for something that allows you to use premium equipment or cosmetic without having to pay.

that’s the reason i believe on why we don’t have xps.

and as it goes for bp tasks, events tasks etc, those can often turns out to be abused.

which it’s why xps were removed.

because some twat exploited the shit out of it day one, so devs got rid of it and abandoned it ( which i do not condone. over 1 or 2 years, they could have come up with better solutions or compromises. for example, daily caps etc )

yep…

at this point, i don’t see any reasons why pves shouldn’t be a thing.

  • allows immersion ( ai do not go out of their way with the equipment )
  • will bring many other people ( since, pve in a ww2 game are often in rts, not fps )
  • more income ( from those pvers players. since they will still need to progress, buy slots, buy units etc heck, even create new PVE squads, such as rocket tanks ((Which should have remained for pves )), sturmtigers, and all of those vehicles that cannot be balanced for pvp, but are fine for pve )
  • matches that could lost longer if slowed phased ( facoltative. but as i made my own pves, you can make player’s death more costly, and slow down the gameplay as there will be many more enemies etc )

at least, imo.

P.s. when i say pve, i don’t mean those boring ass tower defense type of gamemodes.

there can be any other type combined into one. such as multiple objective, ( destruction, assault, counter attack, invasion, etc since it can be done in the editor. which i would greatly love to show some examples, but i would have to upload them as solo. which those were not designed to be played solo as for coop. but you gotta thank devs for failing to deliver a pve in the editor ( you know, the one advertiised where you could have been able to do everything. yet that’s not the case )

but at this point, as we havn’t got better customs, i’m not sure we’ll get any pves either.

down the years perhaps…

i guess

enlisted zoomers aint never gonna repent

Which part do you not know about? There are people on here that have expressed their grievances and disappointment at each point, stating that they will stop financially supporting the game or stop playing in general.

For example, the whole premium thing, a lot of the Premiums in Moscow, can no longer be used on Moscow maps. People spent money on things they can no longer utilize for the reason they purchase them. Then again, Darkflow is not really keen on respecting the consumers purchases like with the Pacific and Stalingrad packs.

There are also people disappointed with the fact the campaigns are basically being removed, since a lot of people prefer certain maps/style of gameplay, which will no longer be able to be achieved, or at least achieved easily.

There have been users who left WT to play this game, just to see this update as WT: Infantry Edition.

I’m also sure I don’t need to explain the part with historical immersion. MP 3008, Kriegsmodell, and Mosin M44 on Moscow is self explanatory.

You can with Official Persistent servers, or developer approved persistent servers that contain no modifications and are simply there to provide the legacy pre-merge experience or an even more historical experience.

If they were to actually improve Custom Games, they would need to actually improve them. Simply removing an important aspect of the game because someone found an exploit, instead of simply fixing the exploit or providing a work around where the players can still enjoy that important aspect of the game, is lazy.

Except major parts of the game are currently excluded from you if you focus solely Customs and mods, which is the number one issue to why it wasn’t accepted without issue and why we are in this whole argument/debate regarding HA throughout the forum.

I personally don’t have an issue with PVE modes, as Insurgency Sandstorm does it well and can be a source of inspiration from when implementing it here. Though considering how this merge is and the devs priorities with certain groups of players, I doubt we’ll ever see it.

The game is becoming more like competitive Call of Duty each update. We got the ranking system (which is probably a major reason in campaign favoritism and teams being low population), we got BR coming, we got an overabundant amount of automatic weapons that overlap classes instead of being class specific like they were initially meant to be, and we got a focus on selling stuff instead of fixing stuff.

looks like more of a small % on the vaste scale to be quite frank.

noisy people do not make up for the majority.

of course, i could be wrong.

and… you sound quite awefull optimistic about that.

which we won’t really see any of that for the next months ( since devs will have their month off ) rightfully so i suppose.

but they didn’t thought about creating a similar enivorement?

not even the weapon selector?

i’m kinda not so hopefull about it regarding the matter as i used to.

i don’t see the problem with that

i’m more of the idea, if you don’t see what you want, make it for your self.

even though it will only get you that far.

but it’s kinda needless to spend more words on things that won’t change.

HA will not, and never has been a thing in enlisted.

if you want to settle for the between, the lots of ya should have been talking on how to improve customs. ( not particularly about you, but that minority of people that thinks that way )

as far as i’m concern, enlisted does not provide a place for everyone despite their words.
and my own interested are being overshadowed for thee i can’t prove various points that i wanted to make about HA ( for pves though ).

so, kinda tied.

but again, not many threads were made about customs.

just the noisy few of us.

100000% agree

that system it’s such a gem and so perfect.

and my mods have been heavily inspired from it.

unfortunately, that’s true.

fair points.

No one is buying premiums only because they will look nice on some map.

Stalingrad pack = people will keep their premiums (Flammpanzer II + HT-130), Panzer IV G and T-34-76 “STZ” + they can buy unlimited amount of Thompson M1921/28 and MP-717 (r).

Pacific pack = people will keep their premiums (premium assaulters + amphibious tanks).

If you think farming soviets bots in berlin (since basically nobody plays allies there) is more sweaty than playing most populated campaign in game…

I really can’t take this topic seriously. I guess you are just farming likes from similarly negative guys.

Well.
The pack included more and everyone can own MP717 and Thompsons.

That being said, the second compensation announcement was fine.

Nothing is going to make these people happy. Nothing.

Sure, and the ranking system that awards people solely off of team wins and not individual achievement isn’t attributing anything towards one sided campaigns where all the end game players play on one side continuously, since if they played underdog teams, they’d never get the gold order or the portraits.

There have been plenty of suggestions of reworking this system that would try to remove people’s reliance of solely going for the team that gives them the easiest win, alongside using meta weapons, since to get to 300 is at minimum 125 victories with high leaderboard ranking on the assumption they have previously obtained it.

Well, putting money into a game for three years, being consistently lied to with broken promises, and then being told the game was never for us, despite the specific buzzwords used in the advertising (and is still used now) that would cater to people of similar interest to mine, alongside having our ideas or compromises fully ignored or poorly implemented (2nd test) then completely 180’d, sure isn’t a good way of making us optimistic for the outcome of this update.

If the devs cared anything more than devolving the game into a War Thunder/Call of Duty clone which they can gather more mainstream people to cash grab off of with overpriced cosmetics and squads, than they would have fixed the long-standing issues, that are memed about on the forums, and have taken and implemented some of the more interesting ideas like with Erika’s PVE or utilizing their full map to create some sort of campaign game mode akin to Rising Storm/Red Orchestra II

And people who heavily dislike Berlin maps won’t be happy that their Moscow Premiums will only appear there. Not to mention the sweatfests that will occur in those games due to everything being automatic focused.

I didn’t bring up that point because they looked nice on the map, or even for a reason regarding HA. It’s because the player enjoyed that campaign enough to spend money on that specific campaign due to its maps. Now there’s a good chance that squad will never see those maps, which the player spent money to enjoy them on, again.

So the assumption that the merge comes this year, we won’t see any bug fixes unless they work on holiday. So we could be left with a broken or crappy matchmaking system and the customs are bad or just mediocre too.

I understand what you are saying.

“Automatic focused” - FG-42, AVT-40, PPSh, StG 44 and so on…

But - Moscow Premium (probably MG 42 early) got high BR and will not be able to be used on Moscow, but rather - on a Berlin maps.

It looks like someone bought premiums to use automatic weapons against players with Mosins and Kar98ks, and now has a problem because now he will play with a fair rules

That’s a lot of assumptions with little to no reasoning.

Yes, I have all the Soviet squads in Moscow, but no, I barely use them since there’s no point in using them when maxed out in the campaign progression since premium squads don’t have the same composition as free squads and cannot be leveled, making them less valuable outside the weapons/vehicle and the XP benefit. Aside from that, the majority of my squads have Mosin 1907 carbines, and I still can place near the top with them, so it’s not difficult using these starter rifles.

Also, if you’re so much in favor with “fair rules” why don’t we remove the ability for the player to continuously cycle three assaulter squads back to back?

Also to address what little you actually discussed regarding the point of the matter, people, once again, purchased the squads because they enjoyed playing said campaign due to the maps or whatever reason that drew them to spend money on specifically one out of six distinct campaigns, and now they can no longer play on those maps with said squad.

the only thing that was exiting for me from the merge were the custom matches changes. They better keep their promises.
