So the M1 Garand needs a buff too? Are you going by case length or bullet diameter because mausers fire a bigger bullet

Velocity is part of the (kinetic) energy so it’s unnecesarry.

A 30-60 is a more powerful round becahue it has a larger case with more gunpowder and has more mussle energy

Typically, the 8mm Mauser can reach a muzzle velocity of 2600 ft./s and over 3000ft./lb of energy output when using a 198-grain bullet.
Typically packed with a 220-grain bullet, the .30-06 Springfield cartridge can produce muzzle velocity averaging around 2500 ft./s with energy output at around 3000 ft./lb.

for all porposes on balistics, a heavier grain bullet (.30-06) have the same output for less velocity. so, its a inferior bullet comparing to a 8mm mauser. and isnt even the Ss Patronen variant.

if we are to do things right, every bullet should be equally lethal
one hits you: pistol, shotgun, bolt-action, smg, mg, anti-tank rifle = dead
but this is a game and therefore a certain degree of freedom is needed

DPS and Damage per mag are both utterly insane metrics to use in this game. What matters is “How many hits does it take to down someone” and “How quickly am I able to land that many hits on a distinct, human sized target?”. And, since people have either 10 or 13.5 health depending on if they have the vitality buff, what really matters is how you reach that break point. A 3.5 damage per bullet gun is a lot better than a 3.2 damage gun, even if the 3.2 damage gun has sas much as 20% mroe fire rate, and thus much more dps, because the 3.5 damage one takes one less bullet to take someone out at close range. That is what matters. Regardless of whether or not the bar needs a change, your method of arguing that it does is just not valid.

Taking into account your stupid metrics, the fnab should make 12 damage per bullets because its damage per second is muuuuuch lower than the ppsh.

i guess if they dont add patratropers , we might see jhonson LMG as the direct counterpart for the Fg42 as a trooper weapon.

hopefully they will introduce paras so we can have the FG as a para weapon only.

same for the jhonson lmg.

atleast, wasted would stop his quest for the bar as a trooper weapon none of us suport.
