Tell us one of your favorite guns

I swear, why doesn’t Darkflow look at other successful WW2 games for inspiration? We live in a world where HellDivers 2 has sprint to prone dive before Enlisted.

The M1 Garand. It might be tacky, but there’s just something about that double stack 8 round en bloc clip that really tickles me. I also enjoy watching the bolt close on its own after pressing the clip down.

Yes, I like that gun too.

It is interesting to see how Garand developed it.
Before John Cantius Garand created the M1 Garand, he had created a more advanced looking rifle with a detachable magazine. It was even initially supposed to have the ability to fire fully automatic.
However, what he created with his experience and what the military adopted was the familiar M1 Garand, which was fed by a clip.

It was probably decided that magazine-feeding was unnecessary in light of U.S. tactics, supply, and various other circumstances at the time.
I am fascinated by the strategic rationale for designing a machine based on military operations.

Yep. And ppl who say this are simply stupid.

This is me last monday.

Sure, this is not a usual thing you see every match. But saying MGs promote camping is simply stupid. (Unless you consider not moving for 2.3432s camping.)

This is more common situation from almost 10 months ago.

Even more "camping"

Why can’t we have nice things DF?

Ok, I feel like I’m hijacking the post.

I’m at most an average player but from time to time I enter a terminator/super sayan mode.

I wish I knew how to activate it on demand.

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with camping in this game. If the campers can effectively direct their firepower and help their allies advance or hinder the enemy’s advance.

Hehe dont need to convince me, support in battlefield (loved bf 5) or MG gunner in HLL/PS was my first pick

While you “can” camp i always enjoyed the forward planning required to play mg, especially in games where you have to stop moving and deploy/brace before you can fire effectively

You really must be “proactive” while advancing to anticipate when you need to be setup to avoid being caught out. Any other gun class you can just “react”…very different play style. At least thats the way i see it

Nice to change it up

for proper machine guns It was the Mg 42 or the M1922…but I used Alllllot of Bren/Lewis and Fg 42

I stick to MMGs in 95% of cases. My most played LMG is BAR with 9h (out of 190) :stuck_out_tongue:

This game seems to have more Battlefield lovers than you can imagine. have you guys played 2042? :kissing:

sorta why I am in enlisted…they canned support for Battlefield 5 which annoyed me…and then the Beta of 2042 annoyed me…wasn’t happy with the direction…

its the first battlefield Ive skipped, and I started at BF 1942…will back back for the next one if they sort their shit out

I am the same way. :joy:

I could watch that reload all day. I’m disappointed that in the game when your garand is empty you slam the bolt closed (unless you reload a partial).

I played 2024 during the free weekend. It didn’t have BF feeling I liked and wanted so after like 2 matches I uninstalled.
Also I needed like 50 kills to unlock a bipod for my basic MG. And there were only 2 MGs at that time. So I felt unwelcome.
