tank crews should not be able to FIX EVERYTHINK ON A TANK in one 4 second wait, shit is OP AS FUCK
larger tanks should have a 30 second wait to fix a few things not all
this should help curb the META of just spam jumbo/tiger/KV

It doesn’t really totally fix things though, they only partially restore the component it remains damaged to some degree I thought.
Or it does so for me at any rate.
I think we should differentiate between what can be a good mechanic and something that would end up being annoying

yeah i agree repair should take 3/5 days based on availability of parts based on war time.
dude most of the time a tank explode in 1 hit or 1 explosive pack, there is lteraly no need to this nerf apart making using tanks more tedious and annoying
what about just dying and spawning another one?

well to be fair, with the right perks, a soldier can catch a rifle bullet in the chest and patch it up like nothing happened in 0.7 seconds…

Tbh I don’t remember the last time I used the repair kit.
Even arma 3 lets you repair tanks and it’s a walking simulator type game
To be fair, if they’re repairing the tank, they still have to either back up and out of sight of the enemy to be safe while repairing, risk getting their tank blown up while repairing, or if they barely won a tank v tank fight, they’d still be left with damaged parts on their tank. I don’t think I’ve EVER perfectly repaired a tank. It’s perfectly balanced imo
tbh i think the tank repairing time should be longer depending on the severity of the damage, if its yellow damage, it should take 4 seconds, if its red, it should take 8 seconds, if its black damage it should take 16 seconds. something like that

That could work if there was no panzerfaust 100 to kill you in 0.001sec.
If you nerf the repairing systems it will only result in every tank die to a single panzerfaust, because you won’t repair your tank for 16sec while there’s bunch of people trying to kill you and there’s a big chance same person damage your tank again before you even get in it, then again try to repair it for another 16 sec xD

not really, it could severely clamp down on greyzone campers, if you severely damage one of those, you’d have more than a 4 second window to regroup and change your location.
in war thunder the repairs are 10 times worse, 1st repair can take 10-20 seconds, 2nd one can be 25-40 seconds, and 3rd repair can be up to 90 seconds.

You can’t camp in grayzone in everymap and you shouldn’t balance a tank base on campers. If you do that it won’t fix anything, instead it will make everyone camp in grayzone as it will be impossible to rush.
If it take me 8 sec to repair my tank then it make even more sense to camp in grayzone.
It’s fine as it’s right now, there’s no need to change it
