Agreed. And the haters forget that most people recognise their countries relative role.

For instance as an Australian Im completely fine with Australia as a sub-faction within UK+Commonwealth. That makes the most sense since we used basically all British weapons except our own Owen and Austen, CAC Boomerang, Wirraway etc.

Likewise our friends from Brazil or Puerto Rico, they are fine as event/premium squads for US (or just add the uniforms as a customisation option which is very easy to do).

Whereas nations like France and China I believe deserve their own factions due to the amount of unique weapons and the locations they fought.

China can be difficult since a lot of their tech was ‘copy paste’ so to speak but that also means in my opinion its a challenge to decide whether they should be placed under the USA or USSR as they used both tech (plus German and some British stuff).

But certainly France, together with Poland and the Netherlands imo should be in game and I believe Chinese squads should be at least somewhere in a tech tree.

There are the nationals of those countries who want to fight as their countrymen, but also people like myself, I have no specific connection to France I just think their uniforms are cool, weapons are unique and I desperately want a change from the same old same old USA storming the beaches on D Day.

Its about variety and interest. We remember how cool it was when we got a whole new campaign, as you say, anyone regardless of their nationality will be intrigued and keen to try new factions, especially ones like France, Poland and China which arent featured in games normally.

Thank you for the tips! I will improve and add more specific ideas. If my request for a nation is so messy, it’s because originally, with a friend, we decided to make a request for laughter (we did not expect that we could reach people with this request). But I realize that there is a real demand from the gaming community to integrate the country into the game, so I’m going to modify the request to be cleaner.

Almost all suggestions so far regarding France etc. was to make them standalone factions which is still a terrible idea.

Similar issue exist with planes except it is worse if you consider that almost all French fighters do not have payload options

well first of Indochina Wars are the 3 Wars of the Cold War, let’s just get that outta the way.
YOu talk about WW2 Vietnam well then you got the Vichy-Thai and the Vietnamese resistance which is of no importance really. YOu have the japanese but they are in support role and there is something amiss with introducing a campaign without 1 of the 2 main players.

The Franco-Thai War would not be a good Campaign for Enlisted, 1st we don’t have France (but let’s hope they eventually come) 2nd we don’t have thailand, absolutely no need for em since they are not an important player of WW2 and their gear is not enough for a Tech tree. They are not any of the major important players of WW2, we have far more major ones to add first.

Well a Battle of France Campaign with low Tech Pre-War-1940 Gear would be awesome. British and French against Germany would be awesome. Then you got Free French with lend lease so no problem fill that Tree up. You don’t need the Tree with only indigenous Weapons to make a Tree. France was major player and mid-late War they used lend lease us gear, so what? they would still be fun to play and interesting since you still got variation on uniforms, gear and weapons, Vehicles and so on and what Maps they could fight on.
France was Major Player of WW2 so should be present in-game

Why am I playing France if 50% is just American and British stuff? Why do you even bother to make a unique TT in the first place if it isn’t unique?

Let’s clear this up, the Chinese national fought bracket in the war but China was more a battlefield than a combatant. The communist largely sat out the war seeing the nationalist as there enemy. The commander of the largest battle between the communist and Japan was chided for wasting resources. While I would love to see every nation represented giving them all factions or sub factions would be over representation. There is a differences between giving everyone participation medals and giving everyone silver medals for participating. Second it’s about player base and spending. Sorry but every country demanding a faction would be like every US state demanding a unit. You can now dog pile me but just because you were in the war does not mean you are special. It’s harder to find a country in Europe that was not in WW2.

As for stopping the game from being stale I have seen horses of guns and tank and planes suggested that are still not in the game. Adding new squads and battles like Finland and the winter war are morethan welcome. But they will be broken as the world include mysterious allied forces of us and the Commonwealth. A simple formula if you add thees factions say France. If you limited them to France or France Commonwealth you have to o create new sperate qs. This means more wait time but just for that q but regular allied q. Splitting the player base is bad.

Campaigns are still present the with the sets of Maps. the hell you on about? as in USA play Tunisia, Normandy and Pacific and so on… cmon now.
And yes France was a MAJOR player the hell you on about and no it doesn’t need to be ALL unique.
It would be a cool tech Tree with lots of unique interesting 1930s tech weapons and tanks, they had alot of very unique tech both in performance and appearance. And with the lend lease they would still be unique with uniforms and mix of gear and Squads. And it’s an opportunity to have different setups and mix. How you not get that.
France made up a major part of WW2. both in battles, manpower, unique tech, they hade their colonies…
so you are wrong… France not a major player, tell that to the French!

No, the devs dont call it like that anymore and according to their own roadmap, it is maps. And maps often use same uniforms and unlike old campaigns didnt care for “historical accuracy”.
And even if we call it “campaign”, it is nowhere close to the old ones.

France only played major role in the Invasion of Western Europe in 1940. Free French numbers were low, lower than Canada and Australia for the most part until the French controlled mainland France by 44/45, and wete irrelevant in Asia and the initial phase of North Africa and Greece.

You mean like ten variants of the MAS rifles or another H tank that is still terrible… or the Sherman you can already play with the US TT?
Where is all this crazy shit, because so far only two people actually bothered to show something and one of of them was me and the thread creator, which just posed graphics, including a pic with like 30 variants of the same rifle.
But yes, I see the cool and uniquess factor of grinding the same five to six Shermans again I already grinded in the US TT by playing with probably the second worst Tier 1 tanks of WT and fighter planes that do not have bombs and a couple of machine guns and the MAS.

Free French forces forces mostly used American and British uniforms, especially later in Europe, mostly cloth items and stuff like backpacks.

But even then, wow, so much uniquess to see frogs armed with Thompsons and Shermans. Totally different from Burgers with Thompsons and Shermans. See, they are 33% unique. Now please queue for a faction with 33% uniquess.

I dont get why we need more splitting factions for the MM if all of this can be done far more efficent and faster and easier by subfaction TT integration. But maybe I also need to think simpler to get it.

Never forgot the French surrendering in like a month or two. I am pretty sure the world thanked them for that, especially the Germans.
But I guess people will crave for some battles in 1940 France they never heard about to drive around with Panzer III Ns that were not even present during the battle.

Yeah, it surely helped the Germans killing more French and Russians with crappy oudated tanks while the Allied barely used French stuff and mostly had to spend ressourced to arm the Free French.
Pretty sure crappy BR1 tanks with two crew members and awful cannons will become popular.

Oh yeah, I forgot the paper tanks most people don’t know exist and don’t exist in War Thunder, shame again.
And size does not equalize more space for crew anyways, considering the size of the B1bis and a Panzer III still has more crew members than it.
