They should have limit or cooldown to spam vehicle and paratrooper, example
Vehicle will be categorized to 3 different thing : Light Tank, Medium Tank and Heavy Tank, if you dont understand, lets say Tier 1, 2, and 3. They have cooldown, cooldown count from vehicle dead, example there is 2 tank alive, but 1 tank down, then someone who want to spawn tank should wait like 30s to replenish tank supply, if other tank down also, it add another 30s, now its 1 minute cooldown.
What is different between those tiers? Tier 1 has 30s cooldown, Tier 2 has 1 minute cooldown when Tier 3 has 1 minute 30s cooldown. The cooldown count when vehicle destroyed.
So what about tank and plane? they have seperated cooldown, for plane all cooldown would be same like tank
So what about paratrooper? Paratrooper we should give cooldown for 1 minute, the count begin when plane leave the battlefield, but 2 paratrooper possible spawn in same time, as long as the first plane still in battlefield, once it left the battlefield, cooldown will be count.
Again this is just demostration my solution, the balanced like how long its cooldown etc, i believe in developer team.
The problem isn’t vehicles in general. It’s the fact that there is only ONE capture point that makes everyone run desperately towards that point and makes tanks a problem.
Something like this would help infantry players greatly.
Tank spam especially in certain campaigns really hurts the infantry core gameplay. Meaning someone has to change directive of take objective to kill tank sometimes losing 1 or 2 squads to trying to kill this tank or sometimes having to spawn a plane even though they don’t want to be in the air.
Don’t get my wrong I enjoy tanking and flying however, I only do this if I see we have decently sized and competent team of players on my side. Getting some breathing room after taking out a tank would be nice.
Flamethrowers also need to be included on this. I’m getting really sick and tired of non-stop paratroopers and flamethrower squads. Normandy that is all it seems to be anymore. 1 paratrooper squad and 2 flamethrower squads in constant rotation, by 4-6 players at a time.
That’s where I honestly think a lot of the discussion is coming from the wrong angle in regards to vehicle spam.
So many things have been suggested, but every one of them has a major drawback that can’t really be compensated for usually.
Instead of focusing on nerfing or restricting tanks and such, allow the player built fortifications to actually hold up to the hit and protect those behind it. Make fortifications immune to fragmentation damage.
This way, tanks sitting back have less effect as they would no longer have the effective LoS to their targets. Forcing them to seek more effective angles by pushing forward and out of their areas of complete safety.
Maybe not immune but certainly much more resilient.
You would need some new structures though such as a pillbox type buildable to protect from above for planes + tanks campers on hills nesting in their native environment.
While I think the suggestion isn’t good in the first place, your argument’s not very good either. Just don’t depend on tanks and paratroopers to win your matches. Just spawn regular infantry instead and get the job done
I don’t think there is anything wrong with any vehicles. As I always say I love seeing all the various vehicles clashing together
It’s the job of your tanks, planes, Engineers who you know can build AT guns but most don’t, and AT soldiers to take care of them. Not to mention mines, TNT, and explosive packs
I love matches where there are constantly vehicles.
My intention make this suggestion is reduce the burden of people fighting against high-end tanks/aircraft with small or low-end accounts.
Also make it something historical at least, when just few high end tank produced and enter combat. My main reason is when playing berlin, people would gang up you with King Tiger H which hard to counter unless you are good plane or enemy tanker is stupid one. In 1 of many matches as allies, i kill almost 8 King Tiger H, i mean its free exp indeed, but its become more annoying.
First at all is they blocked objective entrance, which we cant enter/AI cant enter, second, this case i know to counter King Tiger H what about people who dont know how to counter that tank? He just kill 1 and suddenly 1 tank appear again. Third and last is some tank spawn have straight line fire to objective, and they just spawn, they can camp there. Have vehicle cooldown will delay them and at least give attacker/defender breath room to protect/attack.
Im not against Combined Forces Doctrine, its essential, this is not trench warfare when u depend on infantry only. Tanker/Pilot in real life play really carefully, unlike in this game, u can rush died, spawn again, repeat same thing.
Fortifications were used literally everywhere during the war, yet is barely used in game, and when they are used, they get decimated too easily. If that were to change, we would very likely see a huge change in the balance.
On one hand it would help against vehicles and such, but on the other hand it still requires players to DO SOMETHING, rather than just an overall change that doesn’t require player input like so many other suggestions.
