Every other faction’s “infantry support tank” can easily deal with tanks even in uptier.
T-28E can destroy any Panzer IV.
M8 Scott has HEAT that can deal with any BR1-3 tank is one shot.
HO-I has type 2 Heat with insane good HE values and 90mm penetration, enough to deal with M4A2 which I really envy since even long barrel Pz III J/M and Puma can struggle against a well angled M4A2 sherman.
I don’t understand why only Germans have to choose between anti-infantry or anti-tank in BR2, when everyother faction can have the best of both worlds.
Only because German uptier isn’t as armored as Soviet one. It would struggle against Soviet BR3 as well. Not to mention m8 has other negatives in comparison to German tanks.
Again, Ho-I is significantly worse in infantry support role in comparison to German tanks.
Yes, its only luck German BR3 doesn’t have anything more armored yet. It would struggle against Soviet BR3 extremely.
They should add tech tree stug G with coax. That would counter T28e totally.
I definitely wouldn’t call Ho-I best of both worlds xD M8 and T28e are definitely at better spot. But M8 has some negatives. Literally they biggest advantage is that they don’t have to deal with BR3 Soviets.
Anyway, if you needed to give all the aforementioned German tanks heats. I would definitely limit them to about 7 pieces. And then introduce something like the Pz IV C that I recently suggested.
I dont think they have to be completely versatile.
Like insanely good mobility and even stronger HE?
I still use that tank to this day, I always regarded as the best tank on BR2, the only downside is the open top nature of the tank that scares idiots away from using it.
But trust me, it’s a wolf in sheep’s skin.
Slower reload, but better HE, only downside is the lack MG in the turret.
As for T-28E, as of now it can deal with anything Germans can throw at it, its MG turrets are still broken as well, broken good as they work even unmanned.
People always try to prove Germans being OP by reload speed, but they forget that their HE shells are smaller so they need to fire more often too to get the same results.
Like very limited ammo in comparison to short barrel Pz IV?
And being open top is significant disadvantage, sometimes you’ll just die to random blast waves that any other normal tank would not even notice.
Yes, slower reload is very significant downside, plus it is much less agile.
It has 46 shells, but the HEAT works as well as the HE against infantry, besides its one of the fastest tanks in the game, it can very quickly resupply.
Design fault, they packed the turret with shells…
So near by explosions can ignite the ammo causing ammo rack, it’s most dangerous when facing 75mm cannon tanks since their HE will always ammo rack the Scott.
Im very well aware of its flaws.
Soviets will most likely cry until devs move T-34 1940 to BR2 …
It is not needed to give Heats to all of them. I think that would be just missed opportunity, clearly making those tanks superior to anything else german BR2 ground vehicles could provide. And there would be no reason to play anything else.
Well because Germanies anti infantry vehicles have crazy reload speed - but if Germany would need to choose between specialised vehicles, maybe they then also should have more specialised AT vehicles as well (STUG III F).
Also been thinking recently about Panzer III L - which is kinda similar to premium Panzer III M, but without the side skirts, so basically 70mm of frontal armor.
I had the same idea while reading another discussion on the topic.
Most people don’t really want to use the long-barrelled Pz IIIJ1 because it sacrifices the anti-infantry performance for AT. However gained some armor in the process (by using the III L) might be a good argument.
I must admit that I never used PZ III N when it was available at BR2 because I own the III M which is already a powerhouse there.
Same reload speed as pz3n and much better speed so you can go to your camping spot much quicker than any other tank
Soviet t28e is the best tank at BR2, while it has a little slower reload it gives you best overall performance as you have amazing pen with good tnt filler with apcbc and also amazing anti infantry performance with HE + 3x mgs.
There are no reason to play as br2 Germany anymore as they got overnerfed to death, unless ofc you are a veteran and love grinding newbie Americans (vs soviets there will be always tryhard battles).
Stop spamming your incompetent biased nonsense. Germany BR2 didn’t received a single nerf, except for increasing BR of one tank that was clearly overperforming.
I dont think the later war shell is needed tbh, the B model still can get the job done, and I think its a nice trade for what is otherwise an extremely powerful anti infantry tank.
But the E and the F1, or at least the F1 need the B model shell.
My solution would be to add a new BR between BR1 and BR2, lets call it BR1.5 for simplicity now.
BR"1.5"
Would have Panzer III J, T-70, M5 stuart moved up from BR1 and Pz III J1, T-50, Crusader moved down from BR2.
This way 75mm+ cannon tanks could no longer bully BR1 and BR1.5 would have tanks necessary to easily deal with them.
(No japanese tanks were included for now, I would need more data to comment on those).
Conviniently I would also move all bolt-action rifles to BR1.5 from BR2 and slower firing SMGs (standard fire rate less than 600) such as M3A1 grease gun, M1 Beretta, Mp38 ect.
Also the stronger SMGs from BR1 to BR1.5 like the Beretta 38A (20) and Sten mk.II
I dont believe this statement - just like people who claim there aren’t BR4 matches.
I often get matched with BR3 players when playing BR4, when you pick BR1 you get not only no chance at fighting BR3 which already gives reason to play as BR1 - but you often have more BR1 players aswell.
I have had pure BR1 matches before - they exist, even when rare.
I mean that just brings us to the classic WT issue of decompression, it will absolutely work, teh easy way to do it is add a BR6 and move all of BR5 to the new BR6.
BR1 is fun, Ive been playing BR1 allies recently to grind out some of the early squads I skipped over when first playing the game.
I will say though, the Ithica at BR1 is pure nasty, dare I say borderline OP, its only limited by the constant reloading. certainly would work in Valkay’s BR1.5 concept.
