You’re making a mountain over a molehill about a game, only elitists do that kinda thing. If you die in the game, you don’t die in real life.
There’s entirely a justified reason to leave, if you’re forced into a game mode you did not want, nor select.
There should be a mode selection, simple as that really.

I still don’t have any idea where you get this stuff from. How has anything I’ve said been elitist? You’re the one who comes into here and starts throwing words around and then try to call me the elitist? Okay
Simple behavioral patterns mate. Putting the blame on other players for your own losses, thinking other players can remotely effect the outcome of a battle.
How many countless times have I gotten first place, double the points of the second player, and we still lost? That’s just how team games work. I don’t get salty at it, if someone wants to leave a match, let em. Don’t punish players for leaving matches, that’s what War Thunder does, and we all hate that game.
I’m putting blame on others for what losses? Where the hell are you coming up with this bullshit. And if you don’t think other players affect the outcome of the battle, then how do you affect the outcome of a battle since you are an “other player” to over 20 players in a lobby? 
You have a 1/20 effort for the entire battle, even if you are 2x as good as any other player, all it takes is 1 player being bad to take away your advantage.
Average it all up and both teams are basically equal, with outliers from time to time.
Exactly why I have a 70% win rate in Normandy playing both sides. Just pure luck and nothing to do with my influence on the battle
If you think you can legitimately make a match go into a win or loss, you’re an elitist.
You aren’t as effective as the rest of your team, no one is.
Statistically, however unlikely, you could get 100% wins playing this game for 10 years.

Why would you brag about a win rate you have nothing to do with? Its because you think you’re responsible for it. Hence elitist.
I’m bloody first to third place in the team almost every match and I get as many losses as I get wins, I have nothing to brag about.
Where did I ever say I’d have a 70% win rate without the rest of my team? The messages are all there, I never say anything about that. I mentioned my win rate since you’re in complete and utter denial that any player can influence the outcome of a match. Without the rest of my team I would lose every match, because guess what, all players in a lobby influence a match. You’re the one here arguing that if it were just you against a whole enemy team you would win 50% of matches since the players don’t influence the outcome.
One man can greatly effect outcome of battle. Mayby not win 1 vs 10 but one guys decisions can cause win or loss.

we have been playing this game for 1 almost year, weather it’s truee that we were not forced, we have to test things in order to get proper fixes, feedbacks and above all, tweak or make better this game. weather does bring us fun, or not.
if everyone leaves matches, we wouldn’t have a game at this point. now would we?
so i don’t get those complainings as inevitably game mode selector will arrive.

but it’s going to be painfull for people that keep leaving because of high ping, or pilot bomber users 
as they get kicked from the game for no reasons
