In January 1944, the battalion, together with a panzer regiment and infantry units, formed Panzer Regiment Bäke. The regiment was part of the relief force, which tried to unsuccessfully break through to encircled forces in the Battle of the Korsun–Cherkassy Pocket. The battalion was then trapped in the Kamenets-Podolsky pocket. In late April 1944, the regiment was dissolved and sent West for refitting and equipped with 45 new Tiger IIs.
In Operation Overlord, the invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944, the unit was transferred to the command of 5th Panzer Army. On the launch of Operation Goodwood, the 3rd company, which was based in Cagny, Calvados, was destroyed in the preliminary Allied bombing, with impacts powerful enough to turn a 56-ton Tiger upside down. Only one Tiger was operational at the end of the day. During the first day of Goodwood, the unit reported the loss of thirteen tanks. At the end of July, the 3rd company received new Tiger II tanks, which were subsequently destroyed in the Allied aerial attacks, with only two brought back to Germany.
In October 1944, the refitted 503rd took part in the Battle of Debrecen. In early-November, the battalion provided a mobile reserve for the 6th Army (Wehrmacht), re-designated as Army Group Hermann Balck. By mid-December, the German forces had been pushed back to Budapest. In January 1945, the unit took part in several failed attempts to relieve Budapest, code-named Operation Konrad. Though the 17-24 of February, the 503rd took part in one of the last successful German offensives
7 v 10 is quite a norm nowadays. I’ve just simply accepted that people leave matches for various reasons sometimes I can’t blame them for. But our noobs kept spamming tanks and constantly die to enemy tank, it’s as if they just can’t learn.
So help a bad player understand. I have no premium tanks (now playing Tunisia running around Allied Cruiser A13 mk2 maybe even worse than a Stuart since it has no speed). In Normandy I do have the Elite Battle Pass Sherman M4A2 (Canadian “Bomb”) version, which came maxed out with upgrades, 75mm) slightly better than a stock Sherman. I loved having the “Bomb” many levels before grinding to a stock Sherman. I can barely survive in the Crusier, one hit from a heavier Axis tank or 1 explosive pack, and my tank is a burning hulk. In the “Bomb” I have had a few games with 75-80 kills and only 1 - 2 deaths almost the entire game in da Bomb. In Tunisia with Kutarinkushi proposed tank rules, I would be called “bad” and locked out of a tank, while Kuts is running around maybe in some purchased premium tank or has achieved the better tanks in the last levels of the campaign. Purchases plus superior gameplay make Kutarinkushi a King of the Leader board player.
His proposal is basically a complaint that his side isn’t winning enough because weak noob players who didn’t pay for Premium Tanks or haven’t achieved levels high enough to have the better tanks, are not contributing to his need for more victories and kills. Therefore lock them out so he can respawn in his fav tank and keep his killstreaks climbing, oh yeah and his side will win!
Maybe Kutarinkushi has a kick-ass very expensive video card, and hot I7 5.5 GHz CPU super fast pc & internet getting 250fps. So a majority of players should get a penalty because this dude and others who have max tech and paid for kill power just can’t stand being on the ground they want to be king kong of the game. Noobs or bad players just get in the way. I’m sure if Kuts is running on similar equipment as the average bad player, with the same gear Kut’s would still rule.
Not trying to knock Kuts, just illustrating that there are a lot of unknown variables for play styles and roles. Why do I prefer sniping, because I suck at CQC or CQB, mainly due to very casual player, lag, an old pc. I see the bad guy 10 yards away and shoot and bam I am dead, I was dead probably before I even saw him. So sniping and tanking are my styles of choice. I can only get into a tank 1 out of 5 or 6 tries on respawn. Using distance usually gives me more opportunities than running up close and getting killed.
I can count on one hand how many over 100 kills I have had. However, the number of kills 30+ with zero to 3 deaths would take a bunch of hands, and too many times struggling to get to 20 kills because I am lagging badly. We all play for different reasons…
Just play the game man, each new battle is a roll of the dice, take the good with the bad, and hopefully enjoy. There is no master stat board, no one cares about how many matches your side wins or how many times you got 150 kills with 10+ deaths or king of the leader board.
I don’t think this will be an issue unless the requirement is set ridiculously high. If they can’t meet a low requirement of participation as Infantry, I honestly don’t have any faith seeing noobs with heavy tanks because if they’re bad early on in the campaign and are still bad in the late game, then I doubt they’d hit that low mark either way to spawn one vehicle in.
I don’t see this as really any different from what is suggested. The only difference is that work has to be put in before spawning them in.
I don’t want this nor do I doubt many other people want this. As I said in the reply above, I would imagine the requirement would be low, but still proved to have some effort put in. Literally the only people who probably won’t make this requirement per usage would be the people who somehow manage to go negative, even with bot squad mates.
Then there’s no problem. Lesser than average players, average players, and so on will be able to use the vehicles still. I don’t see the players who are unable to meet that requirement being unable to occupy a limited vehicle slot as a bad thing.
Well, yea. There are players who end up with more squad wipes by the end of the game than they have kills. They should not be able to take up a slot in vehicles until they learn to play the main focus of the game: Infantry. An average player or a good player should not have to fight with someone who will ultimately get destroyed somehow with no kills when someone can at least make some progress, whether it be leveling that squad or otherwise.

I don’t have a figure atm for how many Tiger l’ s were on hand but from what I recall there were more of them present than there were king Tigers, my point is that there were more on hand than I think what is commonly Understood.
But it kind of also depends on how you want to define Normandy, there were tigers present from mid June in varying numbers as evidenced above.
What?
Tiger I was introduced on the Eastern Front in 1942. Berlin started in 1945.
~1350 Tigers were built. There were ~30 Tigers in North Africa and ~125 in Normandy.
Where do you think the ~1200 Tigers went and who destroyed them?
And regarding the OP’s idea, hard no.
It’s a game, everyone should have equal access to fun stuff, not just the absolute sweatlords.
Many newcomers and more casual players wouldn’t want a stupid restriction that would favour only veterans either. See the problem here? Ppl having a problem with the core game should have a place of their own, there’s no point giving an even BIGGER advantage to us vets in the regular game: it will drive many ppl away. You want vehicles to only be for good ppl? Then YOU go play with other sweat lords, others shouldn’t have to pay for your discontent
Do you really think that this kind of stuff would work in Enlisted? How can someone be better in a tank or airplane, if he is denied to play it at the beginning?
Every player has a mind of its own. You lose because a guy wastes vehicle slots, that is THE GAME.
Here’s a thought…
So why not make the vehicle squad optional? You could have 3 infantry squads and a vehicle squad or if you’re not interested at all in vehicles, you drop the vehicle and you have 4 infantry squads.
Also let’s take into consideration the players that are not interested in vehicles, you could have a campaign level reward system that allows you to choose if you either get a new tank/tank squad or a plane/plane squad or a rifle/infantry squad like the one you have in the squad upgrade tree. Me personally, i don’t use tanks at all. I’m not a good tanker, i don’t like them, i get stuck on smth every time, so every time i have to complete a campaign level where a tank is the reward, it’s even more of a chore because i will never use it. I would rather have the choice whether i get a tank, a plane or a squad at the end of a level instead of grinding for a vehicle that i won’t use.
Are you ignoring literally everything i’m saying? I said, time and time before in this thread, that the requirement would be small during a match. Let’s use 100 score as the standard at first, if not 150. The player would have to start as an Infantry and gain 100 score as them before playing in a vehicle. I’m sorry that the people who don’t earn a single kill throughout the match, or go negative the entire thing, don’t get to waste a tank slot for a certain amount of minutes before they blow up.
On my own point of view: I LOVE making “noob” tankers explode. The more there is, the happier I am, because I love hunting them, with my own tank or AT squad. To me, lobbing a tnt bundle from as far as I can and have it land exactly on the top of a tank 1 second before detonation has become good sport. Like throwing a basketball from the other side of the field and scoring.
From the point of view of new players: just another restriction… only for them. Not really fun is it?
For you and me and any forum “vets” point of view: it’s quite hypocrite a request, frankly. With such a system, I will always be able to spawn my top tier tank without any problem (we’re not so bad players) and I’ll be able to nuke the enemy team with my top tier tanks the whole duration of the match without opposition, unless one other is good enough to oppose me and spawn a tank or plane of his own.
Because you forgot something else: this system would not only impact tanks… but planes too. And even noobs can bomb tanks easily with planes (even if they crash doing so). With this, they rarely would spawn bombers at all!
So I maintain my point: you want players with a modicum of talent being the only drivers of vehicles? A ranked mode is what you’re after. No need to punish sorely needed newcomers even more with pointless restrictions that wouldn’t be necessary in a mode filled with ppl with your mindset.
No, this is not what i’m after. If you need reference for a similar system, look at Battlefront 2.
That’s how it works now. Anyone who is good with an end tier tank, will not be killed, with this proposed system, or without it, unless met with another good player, or a smart average player who might not have end tier stuff.
I don’t see suicide bombing as a good thing, they should provide some other incentive to use planes, as currently suicide bombing seems to be an alternative and a priority over AT squads. They need to provide an easier way to level up plane squads too, but that’s another thing separate from this.
