(Stalingrad) Offer the choice for soldier customization items to be based on squad instead of just one soldier

So at the moment, the items you can purchase to customize your soldier on Stalingrad is very expensive. If you exclude face and gloves, to change the helmet, jacket and pants/boots, it will cost you 360-500 gold for just one soldier! So if you wanted to change the outfits of a 6 man squad, you could expect to spend between 2160 to 3000 gold. That’s more than $32 at most.

Hence, I would like to suggest the choice of purchasing outfit items to apply to a whole squad. That way, if you have a soldier that you want to apply customization to specifically, such as your squad leader, you can buy outfits for him specifically, and it will only apply to him as it is now.

On the other hand, if you want to buy a uniform for a whole squad, you can buy a set for a lower price. On principle, buying in bulk means you generally pay less overall. This would especially be useful if you want to make your squad standout from the rest without breaking the bank. For example, on one of my assault squads for the Axis, they have the brown camo helmets since they remind me of the obersoldaten squads from Company of Heroes 2.

Last but not least, yes, I am aware there are those cards you can spend on outfit items but those can be hard to come by. You can’t buy them and you can go through them rather quickly. Hence, I hope this idea can be implemented so we can make our squads more unique on the battlefield without breaking the bank.

This is the essence of what they wanted to achieve apparently. We all expected a completely different customization, it turned out that, by the logic they see: - changing all soldiers, they become like a premium kinda squad, so if you buy a premium squad for 30 EUR, it means that the customization will cost you the same. This is complete nonsense. But they certainly won’t change it in Stalingrad. Maybe something will be different in the future.

Personally, I wouldn’t mind the prices so much if we could choose from a dozen individual parts and build historically accurate squads, rather than a few premade fantasy placeholders.

Actually, dev is just being too lazy about customization. And too greedy at current customization completion level.
If you tried editor, soldier’s “attachments” already has ~10 different items attached to a soldier. Each item has its own “slot” type. Dev just hide this to public.

Also, price is too expensive. To customize a soldier, at least 20~30 green tickets needed. That’s well over 1~5USD PER SOLDIER.
Most game sold customization as a “LICENSE”. You bought this, you can use at whatever amount of soldiers you want (as long as fit soldier category).
In Enlisted… You pay for those “reused” uniforms just without RNGs.

Let alone current Stalingrad customization is a mess.
It’s RIDICULOUS that even you bought the same uniform and the same uniform is showed in other squad’s options. You can’t shared the uniforms you bought to other squads. WTF… What if I stopped using this squad, then all I spent in this squad’s uniforms are all wasted.

Current soldier customization is at best, a placeholder.
It need lots of improvement to make it actually useful.

I think 1 item per green ticket (30golds) is OK. Because there’s 5 parts per soldier.
Now, just change a cloths that is copy paste from Moscow, also its free to change there. But set price 240 here is ridiculous.

I’d like some fixed setting of appearance
Like OMSI.

Game provided lots of preset of appearance.

Also it provide customized vehicle number to differs from others.

IL2 BoS also has similar functions

Only provide preset appearance to select.

There’s so many ways of customization not to result in WT’s chaos.
Just dont let players “paint”, use presets!

The form of soldier customization they currently offer should have never even been monetized IMO. I don’t really see the point in paying for different color uniforms, or paying to change a helmet to a cap. They could have added a monetized form of customization that added historical unit insignia/patches to uniforms, and left the basic stuff as free customization. (In doing this they would have to replace all the squad names with just generic “Assaulter 1 Squad” etc, but I don’t see the problem with that since there is no way to tell you are playing as an actual historical unit in game anyway, every squad just looks like generic soldiers already)

That’s mainly due to the fact that some players accidentally post mess hall related discussions here. Other times, players will post troll threads in suggestions section. Both of which drown out the suggestions.
