So been playing Stalingrad more and it definitely has hope of being one of the better campaigns since balance doesn’t seem egregious like the other campaigns. The only thing holding it back is the total lack of matchmaking. The few matches I had where each team actually had players were a lot of fun. Sadly the majority of the matches were the same shit show that every other campaign endures with some of them having me as the only player on my team. If there is any hope of this game reviving itself, it’s implementing MM.

Stalingrad simply needs some more maps atm. There’s just 2 right now… I’m sure it can bore a lot of players away. Sad, because as you said, Stalingrad is indeed the most balanced campaign we have.
It’s also the one with the most new sweet mechanics: nerfed throwing tnt, BUT strong det charges. Really satisfying bolt action play thanks to slight damage boost. Air strikes (needs some tuning, but getting there) extremely potent bots (compared to other campaigns. In Stalingrad they seem to aim much better and are much more reactive) progressive return to a realistic semi auto rifle rof with the Czech one.
And bonus, for those like myself who bought access, no grind, just enjoyed fun.
So yes, devs better give it some more love. It’s a great campaign and Stalingrad is probably THE most iconic battle of ww2, along dday (which I ain’t a fan of) and Kursk (wouldn’t work with 10 vs 10, unless all players are in tanks and there’s thousands of bots playing infantry).

The sniper larpers definitely ruin it for me, if only the players played the objectives instead of siting 250m away waiting to get 1 kill, Stalingrad would be a better place

Tbh snipers were an issue in the beginning.
Most my matches now there are fun, active and teams are actually pushing the points.
Strangely it’s the campaign I see the most human playerbase when I play.
Rn I find Stalingrad amazingly fun and tbh balanced.
So far it’s as good as my fav campaign berlin axis. Just needs more and more maps.

Yes this campaign really need more maps the most and still need the winter maps to add flavor to the campaign.
Yes Berlin is one of the most iconic battles in WWII but this game doesn’t do justice on Stalingrad right now because of the small map selection.

That shit does indeed get annoying
Not only for more flavour… But most equipment for both teams are winter garb! Charging ahead with a ppsh squad… fully dressed in white during spring or summer? It’s just painting a big target on our guys. There’s a real need for winter maps.
Along classics and iconic locations such as
- Traktor factory
- Grain elevator
- Pavlov houses…
