Squads that are "wrong"

M55 reising comes to mind. It is a paratrooper version of m50 reising yet it is given to medics. Also orita m1941 should be used by romanians, danuvia m43 by hungarians and kp 31 by finns

Oh, I remember that one now, I’ll add it to the list, thank you!

Sadly, whilst all of these are valid, they can’t be addressed until we have these countries as proper subfactions (no uniforms or voicelines to distribute).

And, some of these might actually be “correctly German”. I can’t remember off the top of my head which model, but Germany did buy Finnish SMGs for their own use, so the kp 31 might actually be excusable, and so might the others be for similar reasons.

Re-releasing new squads, with the same weapons but new uniforms, voicelines and perhaps even in different squad types from the original, would solve the last issue though!

True. I think UD/m42 for example could be given to chinese squad and french partisan squad. Both nationalities already exist so they just have to add uniforms

@OggeKing Japanese paratrooper squads are also wrong (Both of them are wrong) , premium squad wears army uniforms while having a unit name that makes it a Navy paratrooper while having an insignia which neither represents navy or army paratrooper, and the event paratrooper have some cosmetic issues .

I have a dedicated topic about it , you probably should add them to your list.

Thank you, will do, and will link to your suggestion as well!

hate to be nitpicky, but turns out, the germans paratroopers did used Berettas m38s after the " fall " of italy and also limited occasions in the battle of tunisia.

which considering the racmke specifically fought both in north africa and italy, wouldn’t be too far fetches unlike the others.
now, it is said that they did, yet haven’t found not many references or pictures.
but it’s worth to consider that germany was very known for taking and using any weapons that they could find. especially if they worked along side or primarily along italy. where ammunitions wouldn’t have been a problem to a point where normally you wouldn’t fit soldiers if you didn’t had ammos for it.

second thing,
it’s always best if you provide their actual squad names from the files.
as that’s how developers refears to them.

34th premium radio → allies_tunisia_prem_radioman_1

3rd special service → squad_uk_partisan_premium_1

racmke paratroopers → squad_ger_paratrooper_2_premium_2

japan medics → axis_pacific_prem_medic_1

147th marines → allies_pacific_prem_medic_1

anyway, i do have a whole list too about squads being " wrong " for all sort of reasons,

but i’ll cover the ones who i deem more " egregious " or require some actual fixing.

  • M8 Greyhound squad ( allies_pacific_prem_tank_2 ) incorrect uniforms

the m8 greyhound was used by the army and mostly from infantry divs.

so they should be wearing army infantry uniforms ass pretty much shown in 90% of the pictures online:

m20_ru10

or make it unique, and still assign it to the 3rd infantry with a patch on the m43:

( which we know used to exist and could be brough back )

but for the most part, should have infantry customization

  • flak 88 truck ( squad_ger_tanker_3_premium_7 ) incorrect uniforms:

similarly to the m8 greyhound,
it wasn’t primarily given to tankers.

matter of fact, most of anti air weapons were given to luftwaffe personel.
although it some still saw use in the regular army.

hence if they can’t be bothered to make new uniforms of luftwaffe ground personel, they could just give it infantry customization instead.

OIP

just like the flak 88, this one was exsclusively given to luftwaffe ground personel.

this one being the exception. since the 1st panzer division had the Heeres-Flak-Abteilung 299 in 1943.

and similarly, should get infantry customization:

just like the others AA, should receive infantry customization:

gaz-mm

this one is a luftwaffe kradshutzen unit ( motorcycle unit ) yet don’t have many fallshirmjeager appearance.

hence they should get more kradshutzen appearance from other paratrooper squads.
that isn’t just a pea dot camouflage:

Fallschirmjäger Feldgendarmerie BA 3

and last but not least,

this is the only british squad that to this day ( after 10 bug reports ) still has US winter uniforms in the battle of the bulge compared to any other:

Also incorrect unit

not quite.

AA luftwaffe units were sometime attached to the panzer divisions.
if anything, a reference / battalion error.

but the division is " fine " for the most part.

No, the 1st Panzer Regiment didn’t have it, all of them were assigned to the 614th Motorized Flak Battalion.

Wow, that is quite the list!

Don’t be sorry!

Of course, I am already aware of the German fascination with Italian SMGs, I even wrote about it earlier, here’s my pisition on that matter:

Huh, they do? Interesting, I’ll edit the topic to reflect that, thanks!

I’ll include your list in my topic, thanks for the submissions!

the first panzer division did had the Heeres-Flak-Abteilung 299 in 1943

( … although the insignia would be incorrect since it uses the 1940 - 1942 period insignia.)

althoguh yes, 24 of these vehicles were mostly given to the 614th Motorized Flak Battalion.

so quite a bit of a " dilemma ".

but as enlisted is not 100% historically.

i suppose it has a " possibility " of having these vehicles due to… germany thriving around here :joy:

Only 24 Flakpanzer I’s were ever made. All 24 of those went to the 614th Flak Abteilung. They made the dicker maxes squad historically accurate so they should do the same with this.

well, i wouldn’t be opposed.

in all honesty.

although, as tried to explain, due to the number of production not actually mattering in enlisted, and due to the economy being thriving ( i mean, being able to give the most expensive rifle to anyone is quite the feat ) it wouldn’t have been unlikely to give such AA vehicles to the 1st panzer regiment.

like, based on logic.
and, due to being considered widely an elite unit, you’d exepect to get the best " toys ".

but i understand your point.

Also I’ve been looking into it and I believe it was also part of the Heer Flak, not the Flak Korps.

The Squad of Theseus:

If you replace the name of the squad, the insignia of the squad, and the uniforms of the squad, is it still the same squad?

What if you take the old assets and create a second squad with them, is that now the old squad, or is it just a new squad made using old assets?

Yes, because if you had it before you’ll still have it
