I would like to suggest adding Squad presets so we can plan accordingly when we get the battle map. This is similar to the vehicle presets in War Thunder, only we have the choice to select them before the battle, or at the battle start.
The reason for the idea:
As I have advanced to higher levels in some campaigns such as level 20 for Battle of Berlin Allies, I have found that I would like to have a specific line up of squads depending on the battle situation. For example, if my team is invading, I would like to have a squad line up that is specifically for offense. Such as Assaulter Squads, Radio Squads, AT Gunner Squads, etc…
On the other hand, If my team is on the defense for a invasion type map, I would like a line up that is specifically for defense. Such as Sniper Squads, Engineer Squads, MG Squads, etc… And last, but not least, if we got a conquest map, I would like a squad line up that is a balance of both Offense and Defense.
For further perspective, when you select a squad preset once the battle starts, it’s like selecting 1 of 3 commanders in Company of Heroes 2. But unlike CoH2, you need to select one of your presets before you can spawn into the battlefield (Since we have 30 seconds to one minute before a battle starts when we enter, it should be plenty of time to choose one). Once you have made your selection, you can’t change it until after the battle ends. So choose wisely. Also, I would think 4 presets would be enough. You could have 1 preset for offense, 1 for defense, 1 for in between, and a 4th one for Custom battles, or an additional preset option of your choice.
All in all, I think this would help in making the preparation for battle much easier.
