Soviet svt rifles

the ballistics of all svt and svt sniper models are completely broken, they are incapable of hitting targets at medium distance, and often fail to hit point-blank shots at stationary targets, they are completely inferior to equivalent rifles from other factions, such as the gewehr 43 and the m1 garand

which one? svt-38 or svt-40?

no simply no… The Stv is fine as it. Personally is a pain when i play br 2 and rifles like the armaguerra or Even gewerh 41 suffers the same issue so early semi auto rifles have the disaventage of being imprecise

Skill issue You should consider train your aim, don’t consider this an insult just a recomendation : )

Personally is great only in close range but the Mannlicher is just

P E R F E C T

Being more serious the armaguerra and the Carabine share the same issue (in less proportions in GE case)

And is the dmg in medium/large range. Thats the why i preffer the mannlicher

Forgot to mention that the armaguerra sigth just sucks, but is compensated by a great dmg (close range) and Rmp but the dispersion isn’t in favor sadly

But the Carabine is worse so i agree XD

Svt 38 is the best semi auto rifle in br 3 by far. It doesnt suffer from stripper clip reload like g41 and garand and it has 10 rounds unlike garand and type otsu

Well, since M1 Garand and G41 reload with clips, the SVT should aswell. Heck we are talking about WW2 here, Magazines didn’t get handed out like candy.

I’m not sure what you mean by that, could you explain in detail.

A particularly stupid argument.

Except where they did - SVT riflemen reportedly got 3 magazines issued (one fitted to the gun already) and serialed to the gun.

Sure the SVT could be clip loaded - but having spare magazines issued is a point of difference from weapons that could ONLY be clip loaded.

Svt 38 should be clip loaded in my opinion. It has too fast reload speed compared to the rest of br 3. Soviets already have the best br 3 tank and smg so nerfing svt 38 wouldnt be big deal. Also it would make svt 38 and svt 40 more different. Currently they are almost the same gun except one is in br 4 and other in br 3.

Germany has g41 that reloads with clips and is in br 3 and then they have g43 in br4 that is mag loaded. Makes sense to do the same for soviets

They should just bring G43 to the BR3 and also put Johnson rifle at BR3. SVT-38 is the most op rifle at BR3 anyway.

Red Orchestra did it, made both weapons equal.

No more arbitrary restrictions on guns like default semi-auto for fg42. Just buff g41 and Johnson.

I dont like the idea of downtiering everything. Soon we will have mkb 42s and fedorovs in low tier shitting on new players. Nerfing svt 38 would be the easiest and most logical solution in my opinion

You know what? Soviets were the first to adopt semi autos in big numbers - I actually think a stripper clip loaded SVT could just as well sit in BR2

I think the choice between clip reload or mag reload should be a neat reload feature controlled by the player or a modification/loadout option. Since it has low priority, I will leave svt38 in its current form. It is the strongest br3 semi but it won’t break the balance on its own. Germany has plenty of other cool tools like vg1-5. Still, no semi with 10 round should be in br2, let bolt actions shine.

So by my own logic it actually makes sense for Soviets to have the one semi that reloads with mags

So it stays I guess…

Quite sure it was murrica that adopted garand before either SVT’s.
AVS36 was adopted around same time as garand.

But regardles who did what and when, I dont see either svt or garand as suitable weapon in BR2.

I … well… maybe Soviets could get a 5 round internal mag semi at some point

I disagree, the Armaguerra and the Gewerh 41 have great precision for a semi-automatic rifle, it doesn’t even remotely compare to the SVT’s ballista
