Something needs to be done about the lack of engineer players

Probably due to alot of new people who leave rather quickly as well but could swap the engineer and sniper unlocks making the first squads you get be assaulter, engineer and rifleman. This would enourage some new players actually figure out what an engineer is before they decide to sit in some window 200 meters away

Just give even more XP or silver orders (rewards) to engineers. Mandatory tutorials.

Nothing else to be done really.

Man, it’s so frustrating. Look at the enemy team, full of engineers doing their job. We managed to half cap the last point, but being the only active engineer on my team constantly is getting really old.

@Huddy_Panzanella Mandatory tutorials is something I would strongly advocate.

they should held engineer events regularly, telling these nubs how to use their hammers.

It is very frustrating. I quit matches over it in fact especially defense. If bots would simply build rallies I would pick bots over the average team anyday. They even attack the point!

AI don’t build rally points, so who do u think the majority of non building players are???

Hell just have bots use the rallies will make them much better than actual teammates

A UNIQUE HAMMER FOR EACH FRACTION WOULD SOLVE IT

thank me later

Humans. You’d be shocked how many of them are actually real players

Better you see the screen again, bot dont do more than 30 kill per match, those are real player

Probably only event i did skipped because there was nothing special there.

maybe add a Commissar squad. His ability is to run around yelling “build a rally point and push forward to objective”. He can then proceed to execute team mates that camp. XD

this is a very based idea

Each map should have predefined points for setting rallys, where by clicking a bright lit button in the center of the screen, the owner of the engineering squad can tell one of the bots to build a new spawn, which will be located 50 meters from the capture point. And AI units should be able to respawn there.

This way, an experienced player will always know where to look for predefined rally points, and it will be easier for new players to feel important and get points for spawns.

Just face reality, darkflow - most of the players are allergic to the hammer and all the activities associated with it.

I don’t think it’s a good idea. It would take out a huge tactical element of the game. Cleverly placed and frequently built rally points can change the flow of a battle. I like to build spawn points and always working on to find the most effective locations to build them: close to the cap, protected, hard to find for the enemy, and make it able to start a new, unexpected path to attack.

Making rally locations fixed would render battles more similar to each other.

This way, an experienced enemy player will always know where to look for predefined rally points, and he will send arty barrages and bombing runs to those areas non-stop. It also means more fixed paths to the cap zones so enemy campers could find optimal camping spots along the way more easily.

Just fucking replace the starting squad with the engineer one or make the starting riflemen squad unique by it being able to build rally points while being a riflemen

Absolutely not. That’s way too restrictive, like BFV’s building system.
