Some QoL suggestions

  • Removal of cast time on Flask. There is no need for a cast time on it, it defeats the purpose of it’s use. If I just walk for the duration of the flask cast time I already have my Stamina back up.

  • Building Rally points in dug trenches/Foxholes via Shovel. You are never able to dig a flat enough surface to make a Rally Point.

  • A keybind for all throwables. Generally it does not really matter if you have equipped a Explosion Pack/ Grenade/ Smoke/ Molotov etc. You just want to throw it. You should be able to do that with a single key. One button to throw all, no matter the type.

  • Building in general takes 3-5 working days. For real tho. Does it really need to last this long. Is this really necessary? Don’t even dare suggesting the build perk.

  • Rally point queue removal. I don’t see a good use for this limitation. Rally points are already 1-2 the battlefield because people rarely build them…having to wait to spawn is just annoying. It has zero impact on gameplay but makes it frustrating.

  • Make rally point not being disabled so easy. A lot of times even tho the rally point is in a safe spot in a house on the 2nd floor of something, If a randome tank decides to camp outside you will end up not being able to use it. Make rally points spawn safety range, take into consideration collision such as house walls. A lot of times it’s disabled even tho it’s save to spawn.

  • Allow us to change equipment or squads at the start of the match. A lot of times I’m attacking but I have no smoke grenades equipped. We cannot predict the future on what game mode or on which side we will play. Let us choose our “loadout” depending on it.

  • Let us chat with the enemy. This game promotes itself as a Squad Based MMO shooter, but you cannot even talk with the enemy team. What kind of MMO is that. But in general social features should be expanded not limited. Ridiculous…

  • Voice chat should not be limited to party but to the entire team. A lot of times I wanna talk with plane pilots or tankers but having to type instead of voice chat. I mean if CS had it in 1999, think we can have it here too in 2022. Enable team voice chat please.

  • Using shovels is fun but it just takes a very long time to make anything useful. Perhaps increase the depth and area it digs when used, so you can make something in a timely manner. It’s just not fun to take so long.

  • Improvement to tanks and vehicles in general. A lot of times you get a Tiger tank unable to traverse an indestructible barrel. Or perhaps a bombing crater, or a dug trench, a pile of rubble. Things that a tank should have no problem traversing. Please revisit the tank movement and make them more maneuverable. It is ridiculous at the moment you get stuck in the most embarrassing things.

  • Would be cool to have 3rd person cameras for vehicles. Would be nice to see your tank/plane while playing it rather than 1/3 of your screen. Playing through binoculars is not exactly practical or fun gameplay. It is a game after all. We don’t need tube simulator.

  • Population of the game is thinned out. Due to how the progression/monetization of the game is done, you already spread a low population in too many factions and campaigns. Not even gonna get into regions etc. It’s like a game within a game and people rarely intersect. You need to do something to homogenize the population from different campaigns/factions. It will only get worse with time and release of newer campaigns.

  • Vehicles easier controls. Especially planes. Very clunky and not practical at all, non responsive and feels like driving a submarine or a boat. There is a reason why people just suicide bomb objectives. People can’t fly for shit. It’s too hard and non accessible for new users. Planes are not fun to use and having to go back 3000 meters to resupply is basically ALT+TAB simulator. Please inspire from Battlefield V vehicle system. Make them accessible and fun to use.

  • Ironsights on some weapons are atrocious. Please remember we are playing a game. On weapons like Thompson or Garand or perpahs one of the launchers, you lose most visibility to the point you just hip fire and hope for the best. A good example of balanced ironsights adjusted to a video game. If other games could do it, without deleting 2/3 of your screen so could you.

Personally I would love that. But this seems to be a ‘balancing’ matter to give infantry a possibility to sneak up on the sides and the rear.

However, I would definitely love a 3rd person camera not even for OPness but just for the aesthetics sake - you unlock a sexy new KV-1, you put camo and decals on it, you want to see the beast rolling out huffing and puffing in all its glory, but all you see is a circle with black outlines.
The closest solution right now is playing with the commander out of the hatch until you get to the danger zone.

Agreed again, just like with tanks, I’d love it if planes were more like BF1/V, i.e. 3rd person camera, smooth controls, the damn mouse pointer not looing at the floor when I pitch up with keyboard.

And again, if BFV could do the ring sight right on M1 Garand, why can’t we have it here?

All in all, unfortunately, these seem to be “game features” and not “bugs”.

I agree here, kinda pointless especially if you have 2x stamina regen.

Will agree with this as well. The game is very fast paced and small for being as technical as it is. Kinda hard to build a defensive position with the first 20 seconds of the game before the enemy is on top of you. I usually have to set up defenses on the next point, essentially sacrificing one to buy time.

Agree here as well. The current setup only makes sense if you carry various grenades.

I disagree here, I feel like the build times for structures are fine and limits spamming.

I disagree here as well. It would be rather game breaking to have a lone engineer sneak around to build a point and have the entire team hot drop on you EVE Online style. Same goes for the rally point spawn disabling, see previous. Especially made even more grievous if your build times were reduced.

Half agree here. You should be able to change out your squad selection in game and make that a premium feature. The restriction now with limited squads in your lineup is to force premium time anyway. However, not changing equipment. With the change to grenade damage models and other equipment, having a homogeneous team is no longer the meta and it shouldn’t return to that. Variety in squads and equipment promoted tactical gameplay, rather than Call of Duty.

This I agree with. The only issue would be griefing but even in War Thunder that’s rare. Also agree with the voice chat.

Agree here, see statement on rally points in trenches.

I agree with this, and to the same with aircraft. But I think this is more of a development tweak fix than a change.

Big no on this one. The limited view on vehicles is absolutely to balance their use. Most tanks have a commander’s hatch if you want to get a better view “of your tank.”

Big time agree here. There needs to be more inclusion across the campaigns. As is right now, I almost strictly play IoN because that’s were all my best troops and gear is at on both sides. People have their own preferred campaign and are by now rather high levels in them. I would be ruining the game for myself if I switched over to say Stalingrad with level 1 troops just to get donkey punched around every corner from spaded players. So I don’t play other campaigns. I can’t be the only one like this.

I feel like the iron sights are fine. This isn’t CoD, you shouldn’t be running around aimed down the sights the entire time.

They could make a cool even of Tank vs Tank and there give the ability to see 3rd person in a tank. See how people react and give feedback on that. Events could be a cool way to test for new features.
