That was a massive let down to discover I would have to start from complete scratch if I switch campaigns. I very promptly went back to the original Normandy campaign and have no real plan to do the others if I have to completely start over.
Some sort of joint progression would be nice.

Consider this as multiple games inside one.

Grind is the name of this F2P game.
Also you can always progress all factions step by step by jumping between campaigns, that way you’ll have decent setups everywhere.
And one more tip is weapons transfer: if you’ve got a lot of spare MP-40s in Normandy, you can transfer them all to any next campaign once you unlock them there to outfit your squads.
The bronze and silver and gold orders you get one your main campaign, will be available at all campaigns.
My experience is that once I maxed out stalingrad, I get a lot of reward orders and I used these on other campaign that I’m starting.
Joint progression would mean that underdog factions such as axis Moscow would never be played. People would just use the joint progression to move forward. All in all: it wouldn’t help.
That is not very profitable for a f2p game.
