No
Bren Carrier is without a doubt the best APC, simply because its small - the biggest weakness of those mobile spawn points is being a very big visible target.
No? What an answer.
you realize, that if I ask you to stop being biased, and you answer with a ânoâ, you pretty much agree with me right?
You know that not every single weapon needs a 1:1 counterpart. Or maybe you want every single nation to play exact same way. You know that not a single country has a Fedorov equivalent and i donât see you crying about it. US have a bayonett on every single BR5 auto rifle itâs there so you could close the gap and surprise Germans, they donât have a Bayonet on any of their top tier guns.
Right now you have best Auto rifle - T20 + M2, best TT smg, best paratrooper squads 3x, best MG, best plane, amazing event UC, you are only missing a Super Pershing and AT launcher and then you may as well play vs bots since Axis will only have mediocre STG44 plus a couple of very limited gold order weapons and thatâs it.
My answers are coming from the perspective of an Allies main. That is my bias, and there is no changing that. You see it as you âhavenât received anything in foreverâ (ignoring all of your exclusive preemie squads the rest of us can only kinda compete with using our later on obtained event versions) and I see it as weâve been lagging behind on analogues to your equipment for about as long as Iâve played this game
Yeah you can even hide inside some buildings while German APCs are all huge and too slow, cannon is not a good addiction itâs a cons since you will bring attention to your vehicle.
Yes, the asymmetrical balance is nice. However, having analogues added doesnât necessarily mean things are perfectly symmetrical. Everyone has planes, but everyone agrees America has the best planes (surprise surprise, we invented the thing). Everyone has heavy tanks, but everyone agrees Germany has the best tanks. Giving us analogues is not the same as perfect balance. I wanted a full power auto rifle for FOREVER, I genuinely donât care much for the M2 Carbine, and now we finally have one. I could care less if it was âequalâ to the FG 42, but itâs nice that it apparently outperforms it. Just outclassing the Krauts in one more area cause screw em
Still the best IFV in the game, which is what I want to use them for. IFV work
And thats what I mean when I say biased.
You donât have to be biased in order to mainly play one faction.
you compare Tiger I with Pershing - laughable
you claim that FG42 is unfair, because the US had no one hit kill select fire for years - which is a ridiculous argument considering the T20 just became a thing
STG no proper analogue? Well not for Soviets. I could also argue that Germans and Soviets dont have a Trooper SMG like the M2 carbine.
Why complain about the 76 Jumbo being added recently? why cry about something good?
its not like Germany had to deal with Jumbo tanks without Tigers or Panthers for a year.
The only truly agreeable thing is Tiger II still being the best tank in the game. That being said Pershings can still defeat them and are surprisingly mobile for their firepower - which should count for something. Superpershing will come.
but all that said, this isnt even my point in this post. Most events in the past have been Allied events and I am not even crazy about the rewards themselves - rather I dont want to deal with the constant playbase shift, events should be given to all factions equally in order to help against faction bias matchmaking issues.
You still have a 75mm cannon shooting HE, and 75mm is the ideal minimum size of HE rounds in this game. Trust me, as an Infantry Gamer that thing is super annoying
Sherman = Pv III/IV (depending on how you look at it, personally IV)
Jumbo = StuG (Assault Tank, Assault Gun, see how that works?)
Chaffee = Puma
That leaves the Pershing and Tiger to be analogues. Which makes sense! Heavy tank, converted 88mm flak gun, converted 90mm AAA. Starts lining up once you actually think about it for a second
And! Super Pershing and Tiger II are analogues. Why? Well the Tiger II is an uparmored upgunned Tiger. The Super Pershing is an uparmored upgunned Pershing. Makes sense donât it?
We can have a serious discussion, but I like making jokes regardless
this is not how it works.
Tiger has much weaker armor than a Pershing, Tiger has a much weaker gun than a Pershing, If anything Pershings are stronger Panthers.
Sherman and Panzer III are not at all equal while Panzer IV and Shermans âshouldâ be equal - how ever Shermans have pathetic post pen damage which needs to be fixed.
Jumbo and Stugs had historically speaking totally different roles in the war, and in the game play 100% differently. not to mention that tech tree Stugs are completely worthless.
I have never had a problem with them while playing Soviets/Americans at BR2-3 since i will spawn in my tank or plane and get a free XP from that exploding pinata. And as a German BR3 i have never thought about using that mediocre APC since truck is superior in speed and i like BR2 better anyway.
Yes, I mentioned that
i think the premium sdkf is the fastest in german APC tbh i find TT and event one quite slow
Not a SMG. If anything itâs closer to an intermediate cartridge, but of course still a Carbine as itâs meant to be a short rifle PDW for backline troops
apparently the old bp M2A1 carbine was smg so yea something weird there
Yet despite these events âall being Allied events,â there is only 2 times that Iâm aware of since Merge that the Allies have had the vets and win leeches. Some couple months after Merge, and right now
