I’m not 100% sure, and I don’t have enough silver to test it extensively, but I’m pretty sure all I’m getting from the silver chest is boosters. I am not using a VPN and am not anywhere in Europe.
Could you please find some better use for these?

Is it just my luck being terrible? I’ve opened like 25 boxes, not even a single weapon or decal, let alone any of the real shiny stuff.
Yup. It’s how online gambling works. Sometimes you’re flush, sometimes you’re bust. Just try not to slip into that “just one more try” mindset and lose everything.

Now id agree if it were an online casino or something, not to mention im more than well drilled losing millions in War Thunder to the scam crates.
However not getting a single thing does miff you up, one would think since its only there to lower the silver reserves of some while giving those who werent on the scene the chance to get older and often meta defining weapons or squads. That there would be a built in “after x amount of crates, 1 guaranteed loot drop”.
I mean even war thunder, which is well known for the scam crates, has a system like that.
But no really, I’m not actually mad, its a bit of fun. Just more lamenting at how unlocky I am, from the dog races to this.

I’m no different. I never win anything when I gamble. Out of the couple hundred grand I spent on crates, I think I got 2 guns, 2 unique soldiers, a tank I can’t even find in my list, and a bunch of XP boosts and name changes. Lol. Can’t get mad though, I knew the odds when I played.

I certainly wouldn’t call this a “Rocket Hail”, more like screw you out of your hard grinded silver on worthless crap that wasn’t worth 10 silver let a lone 5k. 
For me, 20k silver invested and the best thing I got was to rename a few soldiers! “OH JOY”, that will make a huge difference in the quality of my squads. 
Yeah, I would like to have some of the old squads supposedly being offered, but not by pissing all my silver down the toilet to hope that someday in the future I “MIGHT” get one. Tell you what, just sell the old squads as premium squads so the people can actually get what they want instead of wasting their silver, then those who want to play Russian roulette with the silver can waste all they want on your fantasy box.
The last time for me was the ultimate insult. I gave DF 5k of my hard grinded silver and what did I get in return? 1k in silver? Talk about a kick in the crotch.

Dude it’s a veteran box, it’s meant for veterans. If you are still grinding the tech tree and filling out squads, then this isn’t for you.
Don’t act like 5k silver is a lot when you have players dropping over 5k in a single game.

20k is honestly nothing though.
I gambled ~400k already and still got just one (useless) squad with Sholokhov AT.
400k is nothing tbh you are super unlucky kinda like me ngl (and at least you got a squad and not a katana)

I finally got the Charleston squad after around 200 boxes. I got the stupid AT squad first after 70 boxes. Used up my 100k saved silver, traded like 8 million experience, sold all my pre-merge squads (except a few) and even spent some gold on silver (so stupid i know). Got the Charleston squad literally on the last box i had silver for before giving up. This was the one i was after the most. So I’m happy now.
