Why would you make it only for gunner class since it’s more an assault rifle than a machine gun? Why would I switch my mg34 or 42 with 50 ammo and better recoil for an fg42? Terrible idea.
FG42 wouldn’t have accuracy debuff while moving. So it would be a good pick for more run&gun playstyle.
It’s pretty normal it don’t have the acurracy debuff since it’s a light weapon that weighs 5kg, literally half of the bar weight. It’s made for precise and mid/long range shot, you’re not supposed to fire in continuous with it so it’s really don’t fit as machine gun. Personally I wouldn’t switch it for an mg, their role is different.
It wouldn’t be MG, it would be an automatic rifle like BAR.

Yeah but at least the bar is playable as automatic/burst rifle. The FG42 has too much vertical and horizontal recoil for that (47/20 against 34/15), I’m only playing semi auto mode.
Then adapt it. I don’t see why not.
Because of what I said? How are you supposed to shot precisely someone at middle range with a weapon that have 47/20 recoil and 750 rate of fire with automatic mode ? You will just empty fast your magazine for nothing.

Oh ok, well it shot with k98k cartridge so it’s normal to have a high recoil on this weapon lol.
