Careful what you ask for, there were more Tiger IIs in Normandy than Jumbos and 76ws

Also there were coast artillery, field artillery, AA guns, Flak 88s and mortars shooting at the beach, without mentioning the beach is filled with mines and barewired

The early wave of landing are all dead on the beach in Omaha, Utah required Paratrooper to cut off the rear from any german reinforcement, both beaches were able to breakthrough when germans are cut off from reinforcement and ammo supply, Point-Du-Hoc need to deal with a vertical cliff and counter offensives, and the rest has minor resistances lucky for Canadians and British

Enlisted doesn’t take the WWII context in this game at all

Don’t worry you will be able to spam your King Tiger on D-Day after the merge anyway.

The latest announcement stated they gonna “improve” old map by removing covers in the beach, that’s not helping the Ally at all

In my book its only the first two capture points that are very hard for Allies, the rest of the map might arguably be in favour for them.

They WERE hard to capture… before introduction of paratroopers. Now this map is a piece of cake.

Because, just a reminder, but taking premium squad allow you to ignore any restriction

The 3rd cap only have 2 entrances though, one from the Axis spawn, and the other is the hole on the right side of the bunker, which conviniently guarded by other bunker with 2 MG42s…

This one is funny if players are smart, the Axis can spawn a Puma and block the hole with the tank wreck

The Ally can smoke the whole place and scorch the place with Flamethrowers

D-Day is the map that favor planes with large bombload, the more time people spent on one point, the more kills those CAS gonna get

The 4th point is kinda the same but Ally get a blind spot, the 5th point is either the Windmill, very open of CAS attack or the corner house, which is easier for the attacker due more covers and flanking routes

If both side are equally smart(a rare thing currently), D-Day map is pretty much favor Axis, which makes sense, cuz what the Ally did IRL was one hell of a large preparation that paid off greatly(they screw up at Market Garden though, despite all the preparation)

paratroopers are no balance argument, they are broken and need to change.

Every American tanker prior to the landings on Normandy was offered the chance to retrain on the 76mm guns. They just all opted to stick with the 75mm because it was better for fighting infantry. The devs have simply given us that same choice as well, so I would hardly call that ahistoric. Jumbo is a different case altogether so I won’t get into it now, but for the 76 every single American tank division landing on normandy had the same choice we had in relation to the 75 or the 76. They just chose poorly and we have the power of hindsight.

Same for the Atlantic Wall, MkBs/StGs, Declaring War to US, invading USSR and taking Stalingrad, very shitty decisions indeed

LOL it more depends on the team balancing for instance the last time I played D-day as US we had not air support as everyone brought out tanks and the best tank we had was a 75 the first objective was the bunker on the left side for the US which limited our ability to flank the bunker and not to mention their as a tiger on the hill shooting at us and most of the US guys were green so the we only had piats with along with the Sturm pistol suck at taking out heavy armor we managed to take the first point after we scared off the tiger after we tracked it don’t ask how a explosive pack on the top of the turret did not blow it up as that is the 32 dollar question the second objective we lost as the Germans tiger picked us off in the Gray zone and some Germans were operating the mgs on the 3rd objective bunked meaning we could not flack from the left hill and the right hill was a slaughter as the tiger focused on it
