Should Enlisted have Viewmodel Customization?

True but if more people know about it and start abusing it then something will have to be done immediately to fix it

Majority of enlisted players dont even use the forum. Even if everyone here would start using them it wouldnt make big impact

That’s because they’re not using them with the right combination yet and if I were to go into more detail I think the moderators might slap me on the head again

Im not an native english speaker so i am pretty confused what you are trying to say. Anyway i just wanted to suggest that you would find another approach to spread awareness

ah i was thinking about a topic call “how about a disable hand model option” cause when that happen to me it was great but i guess it wont be too great

here is an example of what i was gonna suggest i mean it would load less model (i guess? i aint no modder so idk these stuff)

What should be allowed to customize is the viewmodel of the player expect when you aim down your weapon which should be untouched becouse this is what 90% of what you are doing in this game besides running. This should include the ability like getting to use something similar like r_drawviewmodel 0 on Source games with server pure set to 1, which perhaps you could instead do as some Huds do in TF2 and just make the viewmodel more transparent but just not completely hidden to give players the option to dampen the viewmodel.

yea i agree with this or the picture in my comment tbh keep the weapon but remove the hand (or transparent in this case)

No this is just a cosmetic change on the players part of the viewpoint, from the Playermodel perspective nothing will have changed. I am guessing that Enlisted also has a viewmodel system like mod fps games have, we’re the arms are seperate and modelled with animations seperate from the Playermodel.

Another thing like that could attribute to good Viewmodel Customization is viewmodel_fov that changes the distance we’re the weapon is on the screen. This changes if the weapon is close or not and is again only cosmetic and does not change the overall gameplay outside the players viewpoint.

What this essentially does it just push the weapon more forward or backwards.

there is reason why r_drawviewmodel was only usable with sv_cheats 1. it gives the one using it advantage over the ones that dont use it. also it doesnt fit into enlisted genre which aims to be somewhat realistic.
