Wow, tell me something I don’t know.
The problem is that they have effectively allowed the owner of a legacy weapon to not be able to upgrade that weapon because they have a hole in their system.
That’s the fkn issue.

Only because the owner sold the discontinued squad whose progress was tied with the ability to upgrade the discontinued weapon.
The game has never compelled anyone to sell their squads. That was something initiated by the player.
This “hole in their system” is a consequence from selling a discontinued squad.
Well, yes, but the game didn’t warn him that this situation would happen.
Or would you be checking upgrades if you were selling your squads?
The game allowed that situation and the developers take no responsibility for it. They don’t care about the consequences.
And the worst part is that if they had made a proper UI instead of this stupid button to sell legacy squads, nothing would have happened.
And having a lot of squads will happen anyway. Why? Because every premium weapon/vehicle has its own squad. We get a new event squad almost every month.
This option to sell legacy squads literally solves nothing.
I would. Especially when we were given half a year’s notice that we would have exclusive content that would no longer be available after the merge, and I’m about to sell one of the discontinued squads.
Look, I’m as critical as anyone else when it comes to DF screwing up, but this isn’t one of those cases.
To go back to my earlier analogy, it isn’t the ice cream man’s fault you spilled your ice cream when you slipped and fell. And he isn’t going to give you another ice cream cone for free because it wasn’t his fault you slipped.
Sure, and the fact that they changed the confirm and cancel buttons is definitely not a bad thing either, that kind of thing players must to watch out for. :))
You’re exactly the kind of person that makes governments create laws to protect customers.
Because if there isn’t something like that, it’s the customer’s fault for not paying attention or not being smart enough.
Classic dude who puts more weight on the attention of the individual than the morality of fraud actions.
I’m looking forward to one day a guy like you doesn’t think something through and cries. And it’ll be all your fault and no one will want to help you.
Everyone makes mistakes and games that are meant to entertain you shouldn’t take advantages of such mistakes. Deal with it.
Name an advantage DF would have for this supposed mistake.
That’s not a bad thing.
Welcome to the world of business and customer protection laws.
What protection ? Gaijin actions towards players were always on the verge of law.
Well, then they will use people like you to justify their “awesome” solutions. Instead of actually fixing something and make the game better for everyone.
And I’m tired of this discussion. You’re going to argue here for ages just to have the last word and make yourself right. Even though the original topic has been off the table for a long time.
Whatever.
My brother in hell, I’m not sucking up to DF. I’m pointing out how ridiculous it is to blame your nemesis for stubbing your toe on the corner of a wall.
Also, that’s not really an “advantage”.
People are posting videos with their gameplays on YT - and they are using a lot of legacy squads.
New players (who recently download game) might ask questions - “how do you obtain this squad, I dont have it in my tech tree”.
Gaijin does not want it, they want the game to look fair - both for veterans and newcomers.
They added button of selling a squad because there is always a 1 % chance that someone will click it by accident.
That is what I said - legacy squads are invaluable now.
