Rules, Support, Chat Devoice Suggestions

Hello everyone,
just for the context, i am playing this game almost from the beginning before there were battle passes and seasons back when you could build aa on chimney :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

CHAT RULES

Recently i got banned in chat (I am unbanned now ) so a took a look at the chat rules and uff… most of the rules are reasonable but some of them are like from 1984 novel. Ignoring the fact that its too long and convoluted, for chat rules, that no person can possibly remember this, some of the rules can be easily merged, like the rules about propaganda and advertising

3.2.11. Political and religious agitation and propaganda.
3.2.12. Psychotropic substances, drugs, tobacco, and alcohol propaganda.
3.2.14. Propagation of conflicts, as well as calls for the overthrow of the government by force.
3.2.6. Any advertising messages containing third-party game project advertising links to external resources other than Gaijin’s Websites.
Can be merged into something like : No form of Advertising or Propaganda is allowed in chat.

3.2.18. Incitement to stop playing the Games, avoid in-game activities, or purchase any content from the Gaijin.Net Store.
There should be “excessive” at the beginning of this rule.
If someone asks in chat "Should i buy that W.A.R mg?
And i say “No its trash” I can get banned for that?

Then there is no racism no sexism no bigotry all makes sense until we get to no profanity.
This game has gore filter where you can disable all gore, body parts laying on ground ect.
It makes sense some ppl don’t like gore and also some governments may ban or restrict the game based on the gore level. So developers added gore filter to avoid this issue but still let players who like it have the choice to allow it. No one is gonna listen to ppl complaining about gore if they enabled it themselves, and it can be disabled, right? My question is why don’t developers extent the same logic to the players. There is profanity filter in game, or chat censor that censors all profanity. Why listen to someone who disabled it and than is complaining about profanity in chat. Why is there profanity filter in first place? Since this game has chat censor function i always lived under the assumption that if you are not racist, sexist don’t use hate speech ect. ect. but just common curse words that are filtered by chat filter you are ok. I mean it only makes sense this is not Fortnite and big portion of players are adults who don’t mind some profanity here and there.

And last

3.2.21. Public discussion of the actions of the Administration.

I mean this one is just funny. What is this Fight Club? We don’t talk about the Fight Club:D
Also this is first time i heard some Game Community Management calling themselves
the Administration, lol sounds so sinister, maybe its just translation.

SUPPORT

When i got banned in chat i didn’t get any notification as to the reason or length, nothing.
On forum we have:
1.2. In case of violation of paragraphs 3.2.1 — 3.2.11 of the General Rules, the Administration may impose the following sanctions:

  • 1 violation - 2 days of Devoice;
  • 2 violations - 4 days of Devoice;
  • 3 violations - 7 days of Devoice;
  • 4 violations - 15 days of Devoice;
  • 5 - 9 violations - from 30 up to 120 days of Devoice;
  • 10 violations - permanent Devoice.

So as a player you better log in every day and count the days to figure out where you are or you are screwed.
Enlisted support tells you:
If your account is banned or game chat is muted for some reason, please contact any Game Master at /forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/48923-who-is-who-and-reporting-procedure/

Unfortunately, Support Team does not regulate Game Masters’ actions. You should contact them directly to specify the reason or dispute restrictions applied to your account.

And sends you to War Thunder GM who will probably ignore you since you are talking about Enlisted, as they did with me.

This whole process takes zero regard for the player and there is no recourse for the player. GM’s are ppl, ppl make mistakes ppl get triggered ect. that’s why there is usually, in professionally structured costumer support, same review process that can be initiated by the affected player. This is not my case probably, i got banned for some curse word i am sure, but with “Support” structured like this i am sure there are some players banned on mistake or for wrong reason who cant do nothing.
I don’t understand why is player not informed about the ban length and reason. It makes sense with cheaters, you don’t want to tell cheaters which of their cheat you detected and help them improve, and its usually permanent ban for cheaters so who cares. But with player banned in chat for 4 days one would think you would want to inform this player what section he violated by using what word. I mean since you allow this ppl back into the chat it would be only logical to inform them what they did so they can avoid it next time, or i am crazy? I mean profanity is pretty ambiguous.

I mean, simple solution would be that instead of “You are not allowed to chat” players could see at least “You are not allowed to chat for x more days” and at best add the violated section and original text violating said section.

Best regards
Orchoose
