Yeah let’s not go this way. As they will feel like Borderlands enemies that you have to put entire mag into with your smg/semi, and semis like G41 would struggle even more.
I would like some improvements for them like protection from shrapnel (instead of just HP boost), longer throwing distance, more sprint speed and more hp from healing. But we don’t need to make them Uber soldiers with almost 20hp.
Ai bots should get buffed with their accuracy and actually seek cover when you command them to stay.
For MG soldier in Rifleman squad i would like ability to switch to ammo box with 250 rounds so your rifleman would reload it for you as you bipoded your mg.

Fans of 3x9 auto rifles and rifle grenade launchers are probably the most hated caste in the community. Improving the rifleman class will only make this more popular.

I undestand the issues in high br, i never really thought of that as i only play br 2-3. High br is juat so boring. I think auto rifles should be moved to the mgun and assault class tbh

It may not be killing everything alive anymore, but It is still incredibly annoying with their constant knocks.
I once suggested making a separate class for this cancerous piece of shit - veteran. 4 people for a squad of fighters and 2 for all the rest. This class will be the only one that can use rifle grenade launchers and automatic rifles. In this case, I will not even be against rolling back the nerf of rifle grenade launchers. And about moving automatic rifles to the machine gun class … the Soviets really lack a good BR2 machine gun. I think that AVS is perfect for this role. Of course, after some nerfs. Kinda RPK-43 reskin.
I also think that absolutely all automatic rifles should have disgusting accuracy in bursts. Let them be like regular semi-automatic rifles, but with the function of firing back bursts at super-close ranges.
In one of my mods I made sf rifles start in semi mode, doubled the recoil and slowed the reload speed, and it plays much better. It promotes slower more accurate fire while allowing you to go crazy in close range.

For me, the absolute ideal of a balanced automatic rifle was the Fedorov rifle on day one.
I think that semi autos should be a viable option. Use a semi for an all-round gun, or you use sf where yoi get full auto with 20 rounds, but slower reloads and more recoil. This would encourage people think more about their armies when making loadouts. At least in my opinion.
