Yes you’re correct about this…
But it’s also why I can compete with bolties: I learnt how to use them, and well. And like you say, most smg guys I see are merely running around spraying and dumping their entire magazine without aiming well… They’re not very good. It REALLY shows in Stalingrad, where I guarantee you, I’m not the only bolt action users in that paradise 
So I hang near corners, pick 5 targets, retreat behind corner, reload, run to the opposite side (the smg guy, if have any survivors, will expect me to pop up from the same spot), peek from a window I take down any of the enemies left.
It works everytime.
I just love bolt action firearm. Probably the same reason why I prefer good old manual transmission in cars: you’re in complete control of what you do

Dude, when BAs receive the stalingrad buff they will be more competitive.
Now they are inferior in mostly every way to a SF or semi.
Like you have 5 rounds in your boltie, going up against a 9 man FG42II squad, everyone has vitality.
Youll need 2 shots to kill or knock each one. Normally without vitality you need 2 shots to fully kill.
Now if you kill 1, he has kill cam he knows where you are. He can press H and jumpshot you around a corner.
If you know how to do it and its easy, you can Bhop and shoot at the same time

I have no issues with bolties, even vs fg42II and avt40 spammers. They usually aim really bad, giving me precious seconds to line a single needed shot 🤷
Sure, fg42II, avt etc are EASY to use.
Doesn’t mean skill necessary bolties are bad.
So we agree that BA rifles are good in a skilled hands.
The problem is that most players are zombies with no skill. And for them auto rifle is a better choise.
So for average player, BA is an inferior choise.

Single shot?
Vitality exists!
And after that single shot you will only knock, so another is needed usually
And if they cant aim with an FG than thats just sad. Turn on full auto, with that lightning fast ROF you can outgun anyone.
Even without vitality there is quite a big chance you will only down.

Yeah, most of the times you will not kill.
You might only kill after an arty strike on a point or something, when everyone takes some damage
Vitality can hold my bere wen your BA do 17 damage in the chest is a complete instant kill outiside the emergency downed perk
? Are you talking about stalingrad or bredan?
Because if I remember correctly the highest stock damage I saw on BA was 14
Try to upgrade them, the damage upgrade is of 2 point, kar reach 16 of damage a mosin 17

See the thing is, you are in the belief with your Scenario there, that I am that close for you to do that.
And yes, Pre-Fire with BH (which is a plague that they will eventually get rid of with Momentum and all sorts of other balancing things) can kill me around a corner, I screwed up if I let you get that close.
I’ve had people like you come try and dig me out of my hidey holes many times. 80% of them die to AP Mine in the house, fortification, or whatever else I am in. And I’ve placed 9 of them. Secondly, If you and someone else come to Dig me out, I don’t mind dying. At all. Because I’ve served my purpose. Every squad I divert away from the objective is a Tactical victory for me.
I’m very accurate out to range in this game with BA’s , and sure you can run vitality, I can down you in 2 hits then. The M1895 cycles fast. Which, Ironically, if you were shooting at me with your FG, we’d be on the same side lol.
Further to that, I do run SMG and SF squads as well, but I use all the weapons this game has to offer, many times effectively. Sure, I’ll lose some games here or there to a 8 Man group running Meta for now, but those are the kids with no life who can grind to oblivion.
I much prefer to enjoy the house I own with the wife I love, the garden I own, the cottage I own, the Cars and boats I own than to BH like a COD child and devote all my energy to being top kid.
I play to have fun. I win lots, lose some, and end of the day enjoy the game with friends, of which I have made a LOT on here.
To each their own I suppose.
And the Label, 44L, plus a few others are in the 17 range if I’m not mistaken. So yeah, you are right, you can put even Vitality troops down.
