Reworking old locations: The cave village of Tunisia

In the upcoming “Scorching Rays” major update, you’ll notice that we reworked the “Kahif cave village” section of Tunisia. The truth is that there’s a real risk of getting lost in it, so to avoid that, we are going to guide you through the updated location!

The first thing that will catch your eye is that the once desolate area has become a real oasis. Now the mission can be divided into roughly three parts: a section with plenty of vegetation, an urban area and the ruins.

We’ve improved the layout of the terrain to make it easier to navigate both on the outskirts and within the village. It will also be much clearer where to attack and where to expect enemy vehicles.

The famous caves of the village have also changed - staircases have been added to them for better accessibility, alongside additional cover around them to offer extra protection against enemy vehicles and machine gun nests built by engineers.

But that’s not all! Some of the capture points have been changed too, for example, at one of them you’ll be fighting among ruins instead of a cave.

We tried to add more striking pieces to the location to make it more unique and memorable. One of them is the new tower in the middle of the village.

We are still not done yet! The update will also include improvements to hit marks - from bombs to even the largest shells.

They will become more detailed, will better match the type of the projectile and will leave more distinct marks on various surfaces, from wood to metal.

Looks beautiful, the “Scorching Rays” update will really shine! See you soon in Tunisia, commanders!

so the name of the major update is different from the pre-order bundle´s name, but isnt it usually the same? is my goldfish memory playing me again?

I don’t like all this greenery it ruins the uniqueness of the desert maps

If I play Tunisia, I want sand, not a Pacific jungle.
Who the hell made this decision?

smells like a copied feature from Active Matter.
Also, Kahif looks really good and the amount cover was increased as well which is a good change, but its a shame that many of the underground parts were removed, that was my favourit part about this map.
Oh well at least its no longer going to be mocked as Star Wars or Tatooine map.

No I am pretty sure last update was Forest Shadow but the preorder pack was something like Silent Storm

Beautiful, very beautiful, now we need a rework on Guadalcanal to make it historically accurate without several villages

@MajorMcDonalds

btw with the new changes to allow hull machinegunners to work in more vehicles, does this mean that AI crew members in understaffed tanks will continue to prioritize the hull MG over the loader slot because thats one thing thats been making me want to smash my own head while playing with japanese tanks for years now

this part is actually better than the first post

Yes, as much as I love this change and addition, the loader spot should always be prioritized, more so if the AI has loader perks on them

Can’t when i refuse to play low BR because of the abhorrent teammates.

Seriously though this will make me play a bit at least… glad to see this rather annoying map which is also one i deserted (despite being my favorite campaign) changed for the better.

Bring back high BR tunisia… the people who complained already complain about the same shit.

Tunisia getting some love?

No… they practically turned it into a Pacific island.

The road changes are okay, but otherwise it doesn’t look like a desert map anymore.

Oh… WTF!!! Bring back the wasteland!!

Please tell me the reduced the amount of holes you have to fight over each match.
Having to fight in a hole 4 times in a row in a match is just repetetive as hell.

From the pictures at least 3 were removed but maybe it’s different angles and i don’t know if those were the ones that were objective
