It seems like middle detail of the tank in frontal projection is bugged. Its literally impossible to penetrate.
But after several sources, it has only 15 mm of armor while upper detail has 35 mm and always gets pierced.

I think the main issue here is that modules are kinda absorbing more damage than they should, most of the hits that didnt kill the T-60 got absorbed by, but didnt destroy the transmission, one of the hits even got totally absorbed by the turret ring, it makes sense that the Pz4 would have trouble penning the angled plate because of its awful 60 degree penetration stats, and it also makes sense that you could 1 shot the BT-7 with HE, since that round exploded underneath the tank, where the armour is thin enough to be penetrated by HE. (Plus, the BT-7 isn’t really known for its armor, the reason you take it over the T-60 is the better gun and the Speed)
As a regular German user, I can say that the t 60 has an unconsistent model.
And after that I tried the soviets because I needed to reach level 2 in order to see their logistics orders, I ended up using a T60 and I melted down 4 Pz II ( that were shooting at me first ) a Pz III B, and a Pz IV.
The major damage that I got, was from the Pz IV as I lost a fuel tank, commander, track and slight transmission damage.
I ain’t an expert, but I’m quite sure that I should have died ages ago from the various Pz II that shoot me from the back, and side.
Back In the alpha when the ba-11 from the main line of starter tank, got replaced by the t 60, this last I don’t remember being like a kv1 all of a sudden.
It’s utterly stupid and way more powerful than it should ( sometimes ). And unfortunately, not only the t60. Pretty much 80% of tanks in this game.
Yeah, I’ve noticed something about the T60 is jacked up.
That plate has 15 mm, what is equivalent to 33 mm.
Yes and the plate is angled at 72 degrees, if you look at the shells penetration at 60 degrees, you’ll see that it only goes through 17mm at 100 meters, add an extra 12 degrees and the penetration dips even lower, and that’s assuming that the T-60 driver doesn’t angle his armor at all. Thats why you were able to pen the flat part of the upper front plate despite the fact that it is thicker.

60 degree penetration is on the right hand column
Its not straight 72 degrees, not 60. Pz is higher than T60.
Also from very close distance that plate is same red.
I think the devs admitted in their recent Q&A that tank models need some work …
