In case it will take you another year to take care of bipods and make them possible to use.
Previous system was bad but the current one is far worse. It’s even more restrictive than before and often mounting stops working without a reason (like if I moved).
No, have you played Berlin and seen the mg42 bunny hoppers, using it like M16… the nerf to hvy lmgs needs to be on all campaigns asap imho.
They do however need to work on how easy it is to deploy!
You know that OP didn’t even mention it, all he said was about mounting mechanic in this game (for all weapons, not just MGs) that is clearly worse than before and he is right about reverting that change to previous state, as it was working much better (still broken, but better).
You mean stamina drain. And I agree it should stay.
I mean that mounting is worse than it was before (like @czarek90 mentioned).
devs hate MGs, considering it’s the only kind of weapon that has been nerfed for multiple times. Don’t expect any buffs lol.
Well, previously they were super assault rifles so some changes were needed imo.
But yeah, you are right. I don’t remember any buff for MGs.
I don’t see much difference between the old and new bipod, care to highlight the problems?
What i really don’t like is that when you set up your bipod in windows with a wooden frame the MG is set up so low that it shoots in the frame and makes it therefore hard to aim and takes almost all dmg away as the bullets pass through that wooden frame.
I’ve always had this issue personally.
I admittedly feel like next to nothing has changed with them.
- It’s even harder to find a spot to deploy at all.
- Often you mount in the object (especially in case of windowsills).
- Even if you don’t move, there is a very high chanse you will automatically dismount without a reason.
- Nearby explosions almost always cause you do dismount.
- 9 out of 10 of the time you manage to mount your weapon in window frame you will be very limited in your shooting angle to the sides, sometimes just to about 10 degrees.
me neither as they nerfed lmg’s to point that they are rather useless.
Not exactly sure how they could be nerfed even beyond that.
Which would be reasonable, except for points 1 and 2.
Well, that was also present before so I didn’t count it as a new “feature”.
But yes, you are right.
Kind of. But I don’t see why a gun placed on the ground would suddenly be again in your hands because of an explosion.
Shaking sights would be enough imo. (Now the whole gun shakes.)
Eh, I was thinking about “raised” mountings.
I think this is intended in order to prevent you from turning in positions where the soldier would clip through the surrounding environment.
For me, before update it was occasional, but since Stalingrad update and this so called “improved bipod”, now being able to actually have some more shooting angle when mounted in windows is occasional to a point I don’t really mount my weapons in windows anymore (maybe sometimes with many repositioning required), and that says something how bad it is now.
I don’t understand. Can you send a picture maybe?
I’m talking about limited traverse angles when mounted. In all campaigns.
Since, while mounted, when aiming right the soldier shifts to the left and vice versa, in my experience the horizontal limits vary even in the same place, depending on where exactly the bipod links and how much space the soldier has to move.
In example, when mounting on a window next to a wall, if the bipod is placed close to the wall the soldier will collide with it when trying to aiming to the other side, preventing the gun from traversing further.
