Remove Impact Grenades ENTIRELY

Im sure the topic “Impact nades and how broken they are” has been posted here multiple times now and im still surprised, that after OVER AN ENTIRE YEAR OF COMPLAINING not even a comment was given about nerfing this crap from the devs.

Why would you take a normal grenade when you have impact grenades that dont require cooking, have the same damage as normal genades and are easily spammable? The fact, that this gets exploited to absolute ridiculous levels and nothing has been done for over a year is mindboggling to me.

And about any comments about “just nerfing them”: I would rather have them gone entirely instead of having some of those noobtubers complain and cause them to get buffed again. This game is supposed to be a tactical SHOOTER that gets played with GUNS.

The only argument for impact nades is their effectiveness, which gets already exploited

Ah, I didnt see that yet. Very happy too hear that. But still. Giving them a BR only limits their use to half of the matchmaker. If they dont receive a damage nerf too then im not gonna bother with BR 3-5 anymore.

My two cents as to why they SEEM so strong:
There is barely any cover that is being utilized.
Everyone is just trying to run-and-gun, and therefore are often in the open where an impact grenade works fine.

In comparison, look at areas that are fortified a bit, its much harder to make impacts as useful in those situations, in fact being able to airburst a frag over them works significantly better.

So rather than removing impact grenades, players should be incentivized to use methods that protects them from impacts instead. Example: using sandbag walls, trenching, fortifying a position rather than sprinting straight toward the enemy.

It doesn’t really matter for the defenders when they’re always caught with their pants down and they don’t even get any time to prep in advance

The impact nade are pretty buggy, because sometime when it throw at the feet of the enemy that don’t even kill him when the impact nade is a 2 meters of the enemie.

They literally just said something about nerfing them

Which honestly I think is stupid. What? We lowering the statistics of whether they work or not from 1/2 the time to 1/3 of the time?

The thing is that I’m not even just referring to defenders. Attackers are effected by this too. Incentivizing attackers to play smarter should be important as well.
All too often I watch attackers running across open fields. They should NEED to either flank, trench, use smoke, build foxholes with sandbag protection, etc. to get past that. NOT just sprint straight across.

(Granted, if barbwire was immune to Fragmentation damage and could be used to hinder enemies in that situation in the first place, we WOULD likely see a drastic change in tactics.)

I would love if we could do any of that stuff but unfortunately the matches end too quickly

Slower cap speeds, higher tickets. Easiest way to make a match last longer

the problem is how do you make short games longer 10-20 minute games without making long games 30-40 minutes games longer

because i have THROW BACK on my shoot button, i often throw grenades instant back.
Sometimes it works even when the enemys grenade is in the air, but it doesnt work with impact nades… they always catch me like a pokemon.
