Look you’re right, there will be exceptions to every case, and there is nothing wrong with a sensible placement of a wreck or even a non-brewed up tank in a swamp, but clearly abandoned with its hatches popped, as a means of warning tankers of a bogging possibility. As it stands if you do a fly over the current set of maps there is too much irrational clutter, tank wrecks specifically.
I like the idea of civilian trucks, tractors, or hay wagons replacing tank wrecks esp on Normandy, they will achieve all your maneouvre aims, but are destructible and certainly will not permit blatant die/respawn rushes that are currently possible.
Actually, it is not difficult to drive tanks in these places, and it will be very simple to use the driver’s perspective.
I’m fine with them being replaced or made destructible to some degree, but the cover must remain and in places like Swamps or the Beach maps, it makes no sense for civilian vehicles to be where the tanks are currently, and for other maps like Le Bre or Omer, there arn’t enough of them to where it matters.
Well, we’ll just have to agree to disagree.
I don’t disagree with you about the beach scenario. If they want to include wrecks then this is definitely the place to do it. They need to ease off on the tank hedgehogs or allow them to be destructible by engineers. As it stands a lot of the US armour is unnecessarily channeled into the killing ground without the ability to maneouvre effectively.
