The two main Griffon Spitfire from WW2 are the 14 and 18 which are quite comparable to the 9 (faster but less manœuvrable)
In typical Darkjin fashion, out of the gazillion War Thunder vehicles, they choose something that is “real” but also “never saw use in WW2”.

The Spitfire got a bomb but it’s still at BR2 ? Don’t get me wrong, I love the upgrade, but let’s be honest, this is the best Spitfire for dogfights AND it has a bomb… seems like BR3 material.
For the Bf109, I guess this is an improvement.

To be honest now its the best event reward ever this plane. From a not interesting event now it turned to a 10 star event. 
Could you also seize this change to have the Bf 109s re-balanced? Because the K-4 is not far superior to the Z-1 and it is at BR V, also the G-10 is BR V and it has no bombs, the G-6 is BR and it only has 4 x 50kg bombs and finally the worse of all, the F-4/Trop is BR III with no bombs and only a 20mm cannon to show for it, as compared to the far superior Fw 190 A-8 sitting in the same squad and in the same BR, with more cannons, more performance and 2 x Wr. Gr.21 rockets, like a “You vs the guy she tells you not to worry about” situation going on here :c
Edit: Also, while I’m here, a friendly reminder that the P-38E is still BR III with no rockets and worse flying performance than the G that is at BR II, I think plane balances REALLY needs a check-up
Well there is a lot of changes for planes but they first need to rebalance BR IV and BR V planes and move some to BR III and give better bombs to many planes.
US:
FP-3 needs to be moved to BR I.
P-51C-10 should get 2x 250 LB bombs similar payload to BF
P-40E-1 needs its third bomb
Spitfire MK Vb/Trop can get 1x 250 lb bomb
P-38E needs to be moved to BR II.
AP-4C needs to be returned to BR IV.
USSR:
IL-10 needs to be moved to BR III or BR IV
La-7 needs to be moved to BR IV
P-63A-10 also can be moved to BR III
Japan:
D3A1 needs to be moved to BR I:
A6M2 needs its bombs replaced by 250 kg bomb so can have similar payload to BF
Ki-61-II Otsu Kai can be moved to BR III
A6M3 can be moved to BR II
Ki-61-Hei can be moved to BR III
J2M3 can be moved to BR IV
N1K2-J can be moved to BR IV
GE:
Ju-87 B-2 can be considered for BR I but only if allies and USSR get their BR I ground attackers.
C.202 EC is a experimental ground attacker (that had mgs probably in the wings) so better be replaced with C.202 CB without the cannons and 2x100 kg bombs and moved to BR I.
BF 110 G-2 should be returned to BR III
BF 109 F-4/Trop can get 250 kg bomb
Fiat G.55 can be put in BR III
Ju-188 can be returned to BR IV
BF G-6 can be given rockets or 250 kg bomb.
Bf 109-G-10 Needs 250 kg bomb and be put on the same BR as G-14 that also needs a bomb
Me 410 B-1 Needs to be BR IV
BF 109- K4 Needs 500 kg bomb same as the Jet
FW 190 A-4 can be returned to BR III and given 1x500 kg bomb or given configuration with the designation A-0/U4 and 4x50 kg bombs just a name change since it will be the same plane.
Probably I’m missing some premiums but all this planes need to be rebalanced and only propeller planes with 500 kg + payload are left in BR V with the jets.I think that’s all
