Despite not being the same situation i think they should give FNAB type 100 early/late treatment… which ironically doesn’t mean much anymore.
asking for a br3 tiger is next level cope, holy shit
There’s nothing historical about it.
Pure nonsense.
i would certainly enjoy invincible tank on BR3, so lets implement this idea
g43/zh29 doesnt need to be on BR3, it is only svt38 that needs clip reload instead of magazine reload.
tbh it’s not nearly as invincible as the KV-1 and T-34 equipped with stalinum. Both can tank multiple sticks of dynamite or TNT without issue, while the Tiger I goes KO just by throwing dynamite on its tracks. That makes the KV basically the leader, almost indestructible. No other tank at any BR has the same level of survivability.
And after the merge, almost every enemy I encounter has multiple players using this tank, camping in the grey zone, which makes BR3 a nightmare to play. Tiger II is known for something similar, but the difference is that at higher BR you always have planes with plenty of rockets and bombs, and Tiger II usually doesn’t survive against air strikes—unlike the KV.
…Tiger H1 down to BR 3? This has to be satire right? Like the kind of things people say to make fun of German mains.
You can not be seriously claiming that the Tiger has less protection than the KV-1 and T-34.
nope i didnt say that
And yes, it has better protection in-game
if you play it on long range it is invincible cause there is only 1 event tank(for soviets) on BR2 and BR3 than can even pen tigers 101mm armor. ffs most tanks cant even pen its side armor. only way to kill it would be to drop a bomb on it if it camps in gray zone.
I have no idea what events have caused you to believe this but the idea that the T-34 and KV-1 have better protection than the Tiger 1 is objectively untrue.
soviet tanks usually have better protection against explosive packs and TNT cause of better all around protection.
explosive packs are also somewhat bugged in the way they penetrate multiple layers of armor, so german tanks are much easier to kill (e.g. tiger or KT(H) on tracks).
Partisans, paratroopers, Panzerfausts, planes, dynamite, TNT…
The thing is, German tank armor is not broken. But Soviet armor is bugged as hell, since it can survive things it was never supposed to survive in real life.
I do agree that the Tiger would be a pain in the ass, at BR 3 it would be pure overkill, since they can also face BR 2.
But until the devs fix broken Soviet armor, the same goes for the KV.
On paper, the KwK 75 L/43 and L/48 are supposed to deal with this easily. But in-game, it’s not that simple: I shoot a KV first, take out half his crew, and he still returns fire and one-shots me. Same story with the T-34.
And in this game, German tanks are basically made of papier-mâché. The GE faction doesn’t have a single tank that can really tank anything in Low BR; I mean, every 45 mm round can pen all German tanks at BR3. But for some reason, Germans can’t do the same versus KV and T-34.
So what is it, if not Russian bias—historical accuracy? That argument isn’t valid anymore, since Tiger II is fighting Super Pershings and post-war Allied planes, and Soviet soldiers are running around Berlin with AK-47s.
If the devs don’t care about historical accuracy anymore and prioritize balance, they still must do their work properly. I don’t want to “try hard” every time I see a Soviet tank at low BR; I want the same freedom when I play Soviets: run and destroy everything with ease.
I’m not even talking just about body armor—it’s plainly unbalanced. This ruins the low BR experience for Germany, and soon Japan will get their turn too. If the devs decide to add a Soviet vs Japan theater of war, it would only add survivability against submachine guns, which are the main low BR weapon.
However, I don’t agree with the author of the post either.
In my opinion, the ZH is one of the best semi-autos for BR4. The Tiger is overkill, and let’s not forget the Allied faction—just because Soviets are imbalanced doesn’t mean the Allies are too.
As for the G43, I’m not sure. They need to fix the G41 first; I would buff its damage to match the SVT and improve its reload speed. So I don’t think they need to move the G43 either.
soviet armor is not bugged. explosive pack only penetrates 35mm and tnt penetrates 45mm. lots of soviet tanks are turtles with values exceeding that. also you not only need to penetrate that armor, you need to penetrate it on critical location (ammo rack or crew position) to do damage to the tank.
here is KV1 armor analysis
KV1 is surrounded with 75mm armor so you wont be penetrating it with explosive pack from front, sides or back
only thing where you can penetrate it is either from above or from below.
turret armor is 40mm so you can only penetrate it with TNT
so you if you want to penetrate KV1 with explosive pack you can only do it in 3 places.
top hull in the back, but you wont be hitting anything critical(only engine)
top hull, front right. this guarantees kill cause ammo rack is below it
you can put it on top left and it will kill crew, with possibility of damaging ammo rack
you can also kill KV1 with explosive pack if you manage to throw explosive pack below it cause hull has 35mm armor below
TNT has extra location on top of turret
KT on other hand has a lot more vulnerable positions
Thanks, I didn’t know that! I usually use TNT against the top turret and engine, but I didn’t know how to throw an explosive pack. Every time I tried different ways, it didn’t blow up the tank.
Thanks for the explanation
soviet tanks can be pain in the ass to kill if you dont know places to put explosive pack/TNT. germans usually have same weakness/bug on tracks, while for soviets you need to remember their weaknesses and ammo rack position.
That straight up is not true, the Tiger 1 has 80mm of armour on the sides and rear compared to the KV-1’s 75mm and T-34’s 45mm. Also if we’re going to be using anecdotal evidence for this then from my personal experience Tigers are an absolute bugger to kill using explosive packs.
