I may have missed something somewhere. Did they remove the standard queue squads games?

If they didn’t, full XP rewards for customs doesn’t affect balance at all, and the custom rules only affect custom battles. Unless the big START button can put you in someone else’s custom lobby, the only thing custom lobbies do to affect the standard queue is pull some players away, which is happening at an inflated rate right now because customs are new.

Custom battles XP is already generally lower than standard, unless you’ve got a full player lobby, in which case there’s no problem with full rewards. Why shouldn’t you get full xp for playing Tunisia axis along side the other axis armies, vs soviets and normandy allies? If you’re playing custom lobbies, you’re intentionally playing an inherently unbalanced game (unless fighting bots) and that deserves something. Without those rewards, there wouldn’t be much reason for most players to make use of custom games, which a lot of us called for for a long time, and if no one uses it there’s no point in having it.

That was a shitshow with mixed factions, it’s just asking for constant team killing.

remove campaign exp from custom games, but give soldier exp or bp progress to custom games may work

Now I have a doubt if all of the community play custom game with mixed matches, how tf they will balance campaigns?

Only if they reintroduce lone fighters to standard games.

You can easily exploit customs and get mass XP, so there is little reason to play the normal MM, I can send you a screenshot of my 584 kill match, or someone else’s 2000 kill match if you wish. I don’t like how customs are replacing the original gamemode that they spent so much time developing.

They don’t have to. Because team comp in custom lobbies is entirely up to the players making the games, there’s no need for the devs to balance one campaign against the other.

If you join a custom lobby with bad balance, or a relatively balanced one with an army that’s at a disadvantage and have a bad time, that’s not the devs’ fault.

That said, I’d like to see some more robust custom rules choices. A lot of people have called for Enlisted to be an infantry only game, and while that’s a bad idea for standard play it could be great for customs. There’s some imbalance in infantry arms in the campaigns, and more between the campaigns, but not enough that an all-campaign allies/axis or mixed teams match with no vehicles would be an imbalanced mess.

I can’t agree here, either. They added a new way to play, and being a F2P game, there has to be some reward for playing the game, full stop. If custom matches draw in more players, for whatever they want out of them, those players should be able to progress at a reasonable rate, otherwise DF loses out on potential customers.

Of course not everyone will go there right away, though.
Are there any cards you don’t like? Lobby. You don’t want to play the grabs? Lobby. Want to play a mixture of factions or non-historical battles - lobby.
We don’t have full games as it is, if lobbies didn’t have squad mode I think the problem would be gone, but this way lobbies will take away some players

No I intend how they will develop and test new levels if all the ppl are playing custom lobbyes

I’ve seen the crazy screenshots, like 1.6 million xp of a 5000% boost, but that costs money and can be done almost as easily in standard play.

Right now, customs are new, so everyone’s playing them. That’ll die off as the novelty fades.

You’re right, standard play usually doesn’t have full lobbies most of the time. So what harm does it do to take players who don’t like the PVP, want to grind a campaign that would suck against players (tunisia axis), or want to play ahistorical battles out of the standard queue? From the devs’ perspective, none. Standard lobbies have a few more bots, but the overall playercount levels off. Besides, the players most like to want to play against bots are the ones I see a lot of you complaining about, the ones that don’t play the objective, collecting kills and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. What’s to lose?

I achieved it completely F2P, I’m not quite sure what you mean. And no, it is much more difficult to pull off against real players.

How did you manged to do 600 kills?

200 or 300 is understandable, but 600

Simply block off the spawns of the bots on your team and farm the enemy bots, preferably defenders since they stay at the point and have infinite lives.

Presumably because it is easy to farm? I’m not sure.
