I noticed that there are rear view mirrors on airplanes but they are gray, it would be very useful if they were functional especially when you are being chased by an enemy plane, Another useful feature would be the third-person view.
I would be very happy even with a super shitty cubemap reflecting a potato model of the plane chasing me.
Yes it’s true, They’ve been really careful with some of the aircraft models, I find it strange that they overlooked such an important detail. A realistic rear-view mirror isn’t required, just seeing your opponent from behind is enough to be able to move accordingly.
better than nothing xd
Maybe this is very obvious and everyone knows about it, but maybe this advice will help someone. The game has a head rotation function. By default, this is the c button. When I fly to replenish ammo or suspect that someone might be flying behind me, I fly with my head turned back. The cockpits of some planes do not allow you to see what is happening behind. In such cases, tilting the plane to the side can help, which will improve visibility from the rear. But not always. Also, some planes have gunners. When you fly to replenish ammunition or suspect that you are being followed, it is better to immediately switch to them.
Yes, I always use the C button, it’s essential. I can also tag vehicles from above without constantly asking for ground coordinates. The landing/takeoff/combat flaps also work very well. Another thing they removed is the aircraft repair feature. In the Pacific maps, you could land on an aircraft carrier and automatically repair the aircraft.
You can also search for targets by watching tracers and explosions. Or roughly estimate where the enemy might be by looking at the location of your allies. And if the marked enemy tank doesn’t like to move, you can put a mark on it directly on the map in interactive mode. (I don’t really like tankers in the gray zone)
If the tank gets too close it’s doomed, it needs to stay away from infantry combat and be used like a tank, it needs to be used at a distance, we need bigger maps for them
thing is, a mirror in enlisted can barely reflect the few proximity “centimeters” of the frontal part of a gun and sleeve model (when you stand just next to it) giving off only some moving shadows and nothing else. I have a feeling its an engine limitation that cant be extended without sacrificing some performance
