Ranks, Medals, and Squad Leader

I think it would not be a bad thing if your soldiers received medals for the merits achieved on the battlefield. For example, destroying 10 tanks in the same game, would grant you the iron cross and that it was a visual element that you and others could see in your soldier. It would also be nice if within each regiment, you could choose the squad leader and that obviously, the ranks of each soldier would be shown on his uniform.

eh… it’s a bit hard to do.

first of all, the system it self it’s somewhat easier.

because the majority of actions you do, are against bots.

( exept tanks, but this one it’s not hard to make either if you have engy, bomber or heavy bomb pouch.

second of all, only germany would benefict from this system as they are one of the few that actually made badges and medals pretty much for everything.

as far as i know though, the devs addressed the cosmetic factor and they are making options where you can decorate your soldier, and change how your soldiers looks like.

so i guess that is pretty neat, and you can decide which soldier can look like a squad leader by putting him an co cap.

i mean, in a game like enlisted, one soldier even if have a cap it’s just like any other soldiers.

but i would like to put my assaulters field cap as they are technically squad leaders.

As far as I know even officers wore helmets in the combat. At least I would.

well, in enlisted they have officer hats though.

if you watch pre-alpha games, german had different uniforms from now.

Yeah, I realised.
Well, I guess this saying is true:
The best protection against shrapnels is the wool field cap :stuck_out_tongue:

well, funny enough,

field caps are considered helmets.

try to play the russian and shoot the trooper, radio and enginner squad with a pistol in the head.

they don’t die despite having field caps.

The power of the Mother Russia protects them.
But I guess is fair as we don’t have a choice if we want a helmet or a cap.

I understand that it may be difficult but not impossible hehe. Explaining better the theme of the decorations, if the example were 10 tanks, that merit should be done by the same soldier, but if he dies, you would have to start over … that is, if you carry 9 tanks and they kill you, you would have to start from 0 I think it would be a very difficult merit to get. Both factions would have their medals. Germany, as we already know, the Iron Cross (1st, 2nd class, etc.) In the Soviet Union, the Hero of the USSR medal, and on the USA side … The well-known Medal of Honor. Obviously, to perform these merits it would have to be in solitary combatant mode, since the AI is still very green.

i ain’t here to brag around. considering that i almost play this game for 1 year… but having every soldier of my squad with iron crosses it’s a bit… weird.

i do understand the main idea of the suggestion, which i quite like. can’t deny that.

although, it would make pointless the iron crosses on those soldiers:

which i’m not sure devs will consider this option. but everything is possible.

I’ve been playing for two weeks. There you have the cross only because it is grade V not on its own merits. Even so, it seems great to me that this medal is contemplated, it is not shown on the soldier’s uniform. And I ask that, that the soldier carry it and be visual for everyone, both for your team and for the enemy. It would be funny if, being your Soviet and murdering a German and you see that he carries an iron cross and you wonder; Wow! I have killed a decorated man! xD … I don’t know, they are things that I personally would like a lot.

One question, how did you get the iron cross? I have gotten a grade V stormtrooper on the field in Moscow and I don’t have one.

it’s through the gold personell order. and others got it from twitch drops.

I do not understand with the first, how is it done?
