and I suggest do this, but ALSO, make we can choose the direction from where bombers come, in pacific we do a lock from certain angles so we avoid they spawn on enemy carrier and give free points to the enemy
Calling in everything at the same time is asking for cancer, It’s already an explosive fest we don’t need to add to it. The devs are already trying to crackdown on deceitful and abusive behavior from players. At best I think smoke and ammo drops should be separated while both sharing a timer with one another that’s independent of regular artillery.
Smoke & supply for sure should have their own timers. Maybe 5mins so its not spammed, but right now smoke is basically never used… you’ll block yourself from useful arty strike, and more importantly you could never pop it anyway when needed, because there’s most of the time no slot free anyway since everyone else is spamming art .
Separate timers, separate drop colours visible only to your team.
That would be very interesting to watch a radio man use a shotgun, they’ve already added that ability for engineers so it’s not completely impossible. But I’m trying to think of the usefulness of getting your valuable radio operator in short range to use the shotguns before they get killed especially for Germany and the Russians since they only have double barrels. I would rather see shotguns reliably get a buff to kill at short to medium range in a single well placed shot before that happens.
I just want to have the choice - this is the only class that is forced by default to two regular guns. Shotguns are a terrible main weapon (imo) and therefore it’s the perfect fit to let these guys have them too (if so desired).
Typically I anyway have a short-medium & long range weapons on them, so I’d probably rock a couple of shotguns on some radiomen just for the sheer yolo-joy of it.
That’s fair, I can see that. They still need to reliably kill at 20-30m for the double barrels with a well placed shot. As for the pump and auto ones id say 15-20m in a well placed shot is fair. This would all be based on if someone’s not running vitality when you shoot them.
I still think that something similar to a sawed off or more compact shotgun would be good for tankers. Shotguns are a really slept on concept with this game. There is only 4 in the game (5 in the editor) and half 3 of the 5 belong to the allies. Wonder how good a radio op with a wather toggle action or the editors Ithaca would be. Add the smoke and ammo to its own cool down would make it fun to use.
As for making it worse I don’t see how, shotguns are objectively the worst weapon type in the game unless your point blank and even then sometimes it doesn’t reliably kill. I don’t see how that has anything to do with BR2 versus BR5 and the latter stomping on the former. If anything it would make the lower tier weapons a little more viable in higher tier games. I have recently been playing exclusively BR5 for all nations and haven’t seen anyone under that in our games. They pretty much fixed the BR3 players and below getting up tiered. There may be the random match where your under BR4 and match against BR5 but that’s only when there is not enough players on one or the other side and it defaults to the old match making rules.
