QOL Suggestions for In Game Players Cooperation

Teamwork Improvement

  • Allows players to form player group squads in-game

  • Allows players to rejoin different playergroup squads in-game

  • Show the squad types of different players in your own team in the scoreboard

  • Show player name and squad type in the M key minimap

  • Show name and distance for player’s M+Alt marker, allow player to set more icons

Voice Chart

  • Improve the voice chart, allowing the client to mute a specific player and set it in the scoreboard, similar to the feature in Dota2

    • Avoid naughty noise players from ruining everything
  • Range voice chart, you can have voice communication with your teammates at close range, allow to switch this function

These features may not matter in the current game mode.

But I have no doubt that one day we will have an official game mode here with a huge playable area similar to the CRSED map. If it is to form Teamwork and Spectacular Strategic Combat, the common related functions between players are crucial. important.

Consoles don’t currently have a functioning voice-chat.

There’s an option for it in the menu, but I’ve never seen or heard other players using it. So either it’s not working, or NOBODY uses a mic.

Both are possible…

I always turn this feature off because of naughty noise players.

The config path is very long and has no shortcut keys.

My experience is that solo players never use it. Meanwhile, players that are in a pre-formed group are in a party chat.

It could be useful, but there is also a lot of toxicity through voice chat as well.

Probably the most accurate assessment.

Yes, but it’s not anything different than what gaming has been for decades.

All they would have to do, is also incorporate a mechanism/feature that allows players to individually mute noisy and toxic people who are spamming the microphone.

It doesn’t really matter where you go, whether it’s video games, youtube, or a forum… we are always going to come across the annoying kids and the angry kids who spam their mics.

So long as the “mute” feature is implemented within the scorecard of the game (or by pausing/opening a voice-chat menu), then it really shouldn’t be a problem to have voice-chat available, for solo-players and groups who are NOT using private chat
