See here’s how aircraft engines work, running full throttle at low speeds is what causes overheating. Faster speeds cause faster airflow for cooling, plus fuel flow helps with cooling of the engine.
The reason planes don’t always run at full throttle is because past 75% power you don’t get much speed for the amount of fuel being burned.
