Preparation for the "Scorching Rays" update

I wonder when Japan will get a proper heavy bomber in high br…

There is no options from war thunder Kikka unless is moved for BR V thats the only option the rest are not BR V. But this new heavy fighter in a way will improve things since Japanese fighter at BR III has good payload. Only if they reduce the BR on the Ki-61-Hei to BR III and i will have finally proper Japanese army

can we have an option to be able to give orders to the MG tank crew to “fire at will” and “hold your fire”?

the MG tank crew will shoot any enemies on sight as long as the target is in its line of fire.

with this option, tanks with multiple turrets with MG will be super effective against infantry

Guns and vehicles that should definetly be in the tech tree just for the Commonwealth (no prototypes, except combat trials):

Infantry Weapons

Rifle No. 5 Mk I

Sten Mk V

Patchett Machine Carbine Mk I

Lewis gun (47 and 97 drum variants)

Vickers K gun (version without spiderweb sights)

Vickers MMG (as buildable)

Flamethrower No. 2 Mk II (Mk I is a premium)

3-inch Mortar

Land Vehicles

Mk VI Light Tank (my preffered choice for a starter tank)

Mk VII “Tetrach”

Cromwell Mk VII

Comet A34

Valentine III, X and XI (most interesting types IMO)

Churchill Mk II and IV (Mk IV might be superfluous if the Mk VII is BR III, then just take the Mk II in BR II)

Universal Carrier (Rider II vehicle, Bren + Bren or Vickers K + Bren variants, so it’s distinct from the event APC)

AEC Armoured Car Mk II or III (BR II, rough British Equivelant to the Puma)

BSA M20 Motorycle

Multiple choices of trucks as a “APC”, my choice personal choice - Befdord QL

Aircraft

Gloster Gladiator (my personal choice for the first BR I plane)

Hawker Typhoon (as CAS/Attacker, IMO)

x3 Tech Tree Spitfires for BR III, IV and V

Probably more aircraft I’m not even considering.

Assuming that the current transport plane in game is American - Many choices, maybe Avro York or Avro Lancastrian

And doubtless many other things that I’m just not thinking of right now. Again, this is just for the UK, doubtless much more to look at for Italy and other minor Axis powers, and perhaps Thailand too for Japan.

Whilst of course, WW2 content can’t/won’t last forever, there’s clearly much still left to be done, I would like to see full subfaction support one day.

They can do this.

I mean from the Lewis gun to the Jungle Carbine to whatever, there is still loads of non prototype firearms to go.

Not to mention the hundreds of vehicles that could be picked from.

I Manchuria is the big one we are all waiting for. But from Sevastopol, to the Rhine, Monte Casino, the list is near endless of major battles that would fit very well into the game in terms of variety and historical accuracy. Especially if we see more regional based generic maps which could be anywhere in France, or Italy, or Belarus, or etc etc.

May I interest you in:

Sten Mk V?

Would essentially be a Lanchester but with a bayonet (should come with a tech tree Paratrooper squad), so BR II.

Patchett Machine Carbine Mk I?

Should be a very stable BR III SMG, 600 rpm, maybe even with slight damage buff just like the MP 40.

The more I look at this vehicles the more I think all of them should fit BR III. Hope they are BR III since in BR IV all of them will be lackluster …

I can finally get that one good German AT rifle

As much as I love the Churchill and want it to be viable, I am sorry to say but it cannot be BR3 : there is not a single german or Japanese BR3 tank (even in the case of CH-Nu II being BR3) that can go through it’s armor. And it’s gun is still a 75 mm firing sherman’s ammunition (minus the HE part of the APHE). That thing would just be a nightmare to fight in BR3, let alone in a (likely) downtier.

Well yes tank vs tank however the Ki 83 has 30 mm cannons and the poor Churchill has 20 mm roof armor and is very slow so for sure I can destroy it even without bombs. Type 5 Rocket Launcher can pen its sides however frontally this thing will be immortal. And yeah against BR II match actually will be even worse xD Better stay in BR IV since if its downtier its game over for the enemy.

finally gamble box Returns

I’m gonna be really pissed off if i spent 40 bucks on thr event thompsons just for them to show up in TT few months down the road. As well as the churchill i bought last sale. If this one is br3 and is better i just wasted $70 bucks on the game

i would unironically have purchased the pack if it meant getting that SPAA lol

Wow looks nice.

But is this all? only a map reword? No new map? and are these the only new weapons?

Feels very underwelming. Walt reused a lot of assets, so I really hope that is not the only thing we will get in half a year.

pure nonsense

To destroy this churchill, is in fact, very easy.

not to mention both nations have AT launchers that can easily take it out.

But how you gonna take it out with BR II Japan or Germany ?
