Premium squads should be extended with more capabilites, in order to more justify their cost and their being in players fighting roster even when players is maxed in most campaigns
Since lowering prices of squads might not be happening at all (only during sales), i suggest that premium squads should not be taken away any of their current traits, instead they should be added more stuff carefully to try out what is good for balancing, imo game has developed to a point where it can be experimented with this, so over time this squads wont be thrown to a rear
We have observed new engineer premium squads, new MG squads with engineer, so the concept isnt a problem and can be done on larger scale
I suggest to add one slot for engineer soldier to all premium squads maybe along with a radio operator with the same class of all the soldiers in squad, game would provide player with fully tuned squad weapon and a soldier , or the player would find his own soldier for the squad, radio operator could possess two weapons
Honestly ? I wouldnt be afraid of opening up a premium squad tree so player can choose whether he wants a AT gunner , Sniper , Radio operator… each squad might have different choices of available soldiers depending on historical accuracy (if there wants to be any )
Number of soldiers could be increased over time , premium squad could have its own system of adding soldiers , where you would be allowed to increase the number of soldiers on certain campaign levels
So you would buy for example M3 field with engineer at the beginning and at level 20 you would be given an extra slot in a squad tree where you would choose which soldier would it be …
Speaking about assaulter squad … The game might give player a choice whether he wants to have assaulter equipped with secondary rifle , or the backpack , without the need for messing with squad tree
it is quite difficult suggesting to this, but community might figure something useful
